Scott Davis to T-Mobile in 2006.

Fantastic news for the Brett Voss of the Davis family.

A$2995 for the aero Scandium stuff, dependant on the price of the actual tubes. Full custom, of course.

Hey Ed, there's a guy on here (post #8) who wants to know about The Hell Ride: exact route, speed...

Another quiet day on the Aussie front!

Everyone watching the ashes I suppose... FYI the Scots will support any team playing against England.

Hence I am an Aussie for the next 5 days... or a Scaussie ;)

England 96-1 for . How good is Warne?

Recently I've been concerned with clamping pressures on some of the more critical components on the bike, things like the carbon seat post and stem face plate bolts and I think I need a torque wrench. I've found one, a ParkŪ TW-1 Torque Wrench 1/4" drive, I'd like to buy but it's listed at Performance Bicycle
http://www.performancebike.com/shop/....cfm?SKU=11387 and they don't seem to ship to Australia.

Anyone got any ideas on how I might go about having one shipped to OZ?

pshaw 09-08-05 05:56 AM

Dumb question but there are loads of Park dealers in Oz.... you looked there yet? or is it a price thing?

Berny, the way I see it, you've got 2 options. Either find a seller on ebay that will post to Oz, or just source a torque wrench locally. Last time I checked, Park Tools in Oz were 4x the US$. The postage on that wrench won't be too cheap either, I'm guessing another US$10. By the time it gets here, You'll probably have spent A$60-70. Have you checked locally to see what you can get a similar one here for?

Note: I use a Sears Craftsman "Breakover" style torque wrench, and I'm quite happy with it. They can be found on ebay as well, but again, postage would be even higher than the beam type.

Lol...

I used to work in a French restaurant kitchen most Friday nights as well. Ride or drive home at 1230, up at 6am for 200km in the morning.

Groovy.

The Park importer is Repco Sport..? Might wander down there and take a look in the bike tool section...?
Last time I looked it was full of reflectors, horns and stabilisers.

Yeah, yeah laugh it up.. I know I could use all 3 :o

Thylacine 09-08-05 05:02 PM

I've ordered stuff from Performance before. What do you mean they don't ship down here? When I ordered stuff from them, they even sent it via USPS so it came straight to my door, no hassles.

Anyway, torque wrenches aren't unobtainium, and I wouldn't be too concerned with buying a bike brand pre se. If you look around, you'll probably find a non-bikey one cheaper anyway. (just like you will for fork oil, greases, other tools etc.)

jock 09-08-05 06:09 PM

Anyone for a workout? http://www.graysonline.com.au/sale.asp?SALE_ID=13281

Rarely....Sat night would be a quiet one. Eat, watch TV, eat more. Massage if the legs were feeling like someone else's.

Ride to race Sunday morning (could make it another good 175km day.....some guys would do Mt Dandenong on the way to Glenvale Cres), or drive if I had work in the afternoon.

531Aussie 09-08-05 09:19 PM

WOW!!

I dunno how you race after that, or was Glenvale just seen as a bit of extra training?

For guys routinely logging 1000km a week, yes.

531Aussie 09-08-05 10:07 PM
