Thanks. It used to have a white perforated Flite (back when the bike was purple no less), but I wore through it over time. Haven't been able to find another one as I think they've stopped making them. I REALLY prefer the perforated white over the solid white, as the perforations seem to breathe better and not look dirty (even when they are).

can any1 help me im in need of cash so i wana sell a bike i have im not fully sure what speed it is but i know the name of the bike, i think , but it says its a kabuki SSD and i wana know if any1 has any idea how much i can sell it for, like i said i need the money fast so if any1 can help me in a matter of a week after this post it would be a big help, its in good condition the front gear shift is missing but the back is still working rilly well i dont belive theres any rust maby a little near the gears, i just got new tires and inertubes for it and brakes are perfect but thats all i know about it right now and i will update if i find anything else so if u got any ideas on what the price of it could be let me know, i can get pictures also if needed.

Thanks for that link. Unfortunately that's the Gel one, which I find to be not as comfy. The white saddle for me would probably be the SLR, though no perfs. Maybe when this one wears out.

Hey Bri,

Didn't mean to get you all hot and bothered, but what do you expect on a forum other than people commenting on the bikes they see? "Wow, neat bike." gets a little old, don't you think? I was simply stating that the bar position was incorrect, and it is. It doesn't take a "know it all" to know that. Whether you ride for fun or profit your bike should be set up correctly to avoid injury and poor handling...that's just a fact.

Ok newbie....let me try.....how can a bar that is in the position that is most comfortable for the owner and rider of the bike be in the incorrect position?

If it works for him...it shouldn't matter to the know it alls.

My recently updated Rob Stowe Columbus SL road bike.





The frameset was probably built between 1989 and 1991. I began working in a bike shop in 1992 and bought the frameset from there in 1993. Stowe bikes were handbuilt by Robert Stowe and Dale DuRoss in upstate New York under a company called Phase 3 Cycles. I am not sure how long they produced frames for.

I just finished upgrading to a full Shimano Ultegra 6600 10 speed STI group with Chris King/DT Swiss wheels. The original build was a full Shimano Ultegra 600 6400 8 Speed STI group. The only reason I upgraded was because the original right STI lever died after 12 years of use.

Sorry but I do not mean to sound like a jerk. If the bar position is comfortable for the rider then it is not incorrect. You do not know the situation of the person riding the bike therefore you have no idea what is correct for the rider. Until you do, perhaps you may want to refrain from such comments. And before you say that so and so shoud be riding a flat bar or something else remember, it is their money to do with as they please. If I had listened to all of the know it alls in here I would have bought a steel or Ti or carbon fiber speedster with a 53/39 double and an 11-23 rear instead of the aluminum triple that I do ride. One thing for sure is that I wouldn't be actually RIDING it since it is not "correct" for me. Why can't some of you guys let others just ride their bikes and enjoy them. I ride my bike with the setup that is comfortable for me....not the way others say is the correct way. You may be tired of seeing "Wow, neat bike!" I am not. I just enjoy looking at other people's bikes and if I dont't think it is a "neat bike" I just don't say it. I will not sit and try to point out to the rider what is "wrong" with it. To me THAT is what gets old. So, again, I stand by my reply.

shimano 535's ... pulled them off of a CycloCross Bike.

they've been great wheels, and I'm a heavier rider. Absolutely no problems with flex, but I climb in the saddle.

I have an old 535 as my rear wheel on my single speed and my leg keeps getting caught in the spokes. It is very embarassing
