You should paint those deep rims to match the rest of the bike... and your shoes, too. match up with those socks.

I like the Mavic shoes. not the stiffest available, but they fit me perfect(and the lack of stiffness has never caused me a problem).

Are you talking about the decal on the rear wheel?

Yes, I think it's peculiar that the only decal on the wheels is a Swiss Stop decal. It isn't totally random, but it's not anything I'd want to call attention to, either.

Sorry to keep posting the same bike but I decided to get deeper wheels for this bike (and still cut weight!) and swap in my saddle that I've got accustomed to for the last couple years instead of the Fizik it came with. I think the changes are big enough to grant another post :) I feel the bike has just enough white on it to still justify white bar tape. Might try black next time to see how it looks though.

Bike is hot like that. The artificial fake vignetting is definitely not hot. Looks like you are trying to use a full frame camera body with a POS cheap crop kit lens.

Hey man. My camera and lens are both POS so joke's on you!

Nice to see a build that is committed to low stack height, no spacers on top of the stem is a nice clean look. The traditional center bolt brakes look a little out of place. Aero brakes or at least direct mount dual pivots would look sleeker but not much you can do about that. There is also a funny wrinkle in the bar tape on the drop. Other than that the bike is smokin'!

Something about the stem, when I look at the overall bike, the stem looks tiny. Wheels are too deep for my liking.

I can tend to agree in most degree's regarding the wheels but because this is such a thick aero frame I feel like deep carbons like this are kind of needed. Of course there needs to be a balance. A deep aero frame with wheels that arent deep even more offensive.

I think the stem looks small because the aero top bar flares back a bit and covers the entire length of it. So I simply chalk that up to the angle that the bike was photographed.

I give it a Hot and a thank you for saving the last 3 pages. :thumb:

Short of buying a replacement headset..how to ditch the Spesh cone spacer??

Dunno. I don't mind it because 1) its a team geometry frameset which is 2cm shorter in the headtube than the standard sworks SL2 and 2) because James Terranipaintworks painted it up to match the rest of the frame, including the stem bars, and seat post.

56 frame?

I think it is beautiful and agree with Bianchi10. Thanks for saving the thread. If people weren't such D$%s then everyone would feel comfortable posting their bikes here.
BTW, I'm not a fan of white bar tape but it looks great on your bike. Changing it to black bar tape wouldn't make it hotter.

Still it's not the thread for only warm fuzzies, sorry. FWIW, I'll add another vote to the near unanimous "bizarre and nowhere near hot" tally.

From over 1000 pages of the same stuff over and over, I get it. You like slammed, no spacers, a seat within .00172microns of angle, and flat bars.

yawn....

I've only been on this forum a short while and have grown bored of it. I hope to god you guys have your answers copy/pasted somewhere cuz I cant imagine writing the same thing over and over since 2008 or whenever this thread started.

:deadhorse2:

Edit: Yep. 2008. Happy 10th Gents. :bday:

MauiKai, I have some advice for you. If you don't get what this thread is about, then just stay out of it.

There is a "Post Your Titaniums" thread.
You have a nice bike and it would be right at home there, nothing but love.

shelbyfv 12-05-17 09:15 PM

I'd never post one of my bikes here. I have 30mm of spacers, shallow aluminum rims and saddlebags. Sometimes when I'm riding my valve stems become unaligned.

I understand what it is for CB. Personally I think the title should be changed to something a bit more similar to what actually happens in here, but thats just my opinion. Not a good way to attract new members or make current members feel comfortable posting their bikes (as 2 members already expressed reluctance since my submission alone to post pics of their bikes). But if the majority needs a safe space to tell the "new" guy to stay off his yard then so be it. I've gotten what I needed from here and had a few chuckles while poking fun at the old guard.

P.S. You are welcome for me stirring the nest and adding 3 pages of comments in a short time to show the advertisers how popular your site is.

Wrong, those people who say they won't post their bikes here simply seem to have an actual understanding of how their bike will be taken from the general public. Doesn't mean that they themselves don't care for their own bike. They just know the set up isn't something that would attract a hot from most people in this thread. They have a thread for that. It's called "what bike do you ride". You appear to have one of those personalities that enjoys disagreeing with what people say, no matter what they say. Your bike works good for you and apparently you're a cat 1 racer with how fast you say you are. Someone so confident in their abilities, yet seems to have such a fragile ego and can't handle the fact that NOBODY likes your bike or how it is set up. But keep puffing that chest bud. Rock on with those record breaking KOMs that you undoubtedly have, thanks to that rocket of yours.

Not sure if I'd rather have my hot bike ONLY bring in a page worth of hots OR find out that it was SO incredibly ugly and set up wrong that it drew 3 pages of head scratching wtf's.

GeneO 12-05-17 09:51 PM

I love my bikes but I wouldn't post them in here. Having a hot looking bike is not one of my goals and it shows. I like looking at hot bikes though.

Its not like there aren't plenty of other threads to post and share your bike pics.
