My S-Works SL2 with Zipp 808 FC--aka the rolling billboard :) I absolutely love it though.

Drool, HOT!

homebrewk 10-24-11 06:42 PM

Agreed. It's practically on fire.

thirdgenbird 10-24-11 06:47 PM

i dont think it is hot at all. a very nice bike, but way too much going on visually to be hot.

Soloist Assassin 10-24-11 06:51 PM

Sorry guys Specialized bikes w/o S-Works cranks is a big no no. Especially when it has a late model craptacular Shimano squid crank instead.

thirdgenbird 10-24-11 06:54 PM

removing the decals off the wheels and adding a pair of specialized cranks (without decals) would go a long ways on that bike.

S-Works cranks? Really? Those things are fugly. To each their own, I guess.

You have a crankset that looks like a squid attached to your BB. No one is interested in what you think is fugly. Not to mention S-Works cranks would weigh a lot less, and as thirdgenbird suggested, no decals, the 808s could use that advise too.

Fixed your poorly thought out post for you :thumb:

I've actually considered ditching the decals, but am not totally sold on the idea. I'm into the bike $1,800 with a set of Ksyrium SLs on the side. I'm happy with what I got on a grad student's budget ;)

They must be paying grad students a lot more these days then when I did it.

Both look pretty good. I would say the Scott is hot, the Specialized, I'm not feeling the white stem, or bottle cages. Other than that well done. The important thing for people to take away from your post, is: If you are going to go with Shimano, at least don't use a horrible squid crankset. For that I give you :thumb: x2

Your counting skills are truly something to be admired  Go back and try again.

Anyway, it's all in jest and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I thought about the decals and think plain wheels would look funny on the bike since there's so much going on on the frame itself. I prefer subtle graphics but that's not what I have so I'll stick with the rolling billboard :thumb:

I think its hot. I don't think the Dura Ace crank is fugy, although there are better looking cranks out there for sure. Btw my S-Works has a Campy Record 10 Carbon crank on it, and I think it looks just fine. ;)

Chris R. 10-25-11 12:56 PM

me likey also...just remove the huge zipp stickers...so big!

ahson 10-29-11 11:27 AM

First attempt in here. I am prepared for anything.
