This is the hot or not thread. When some bozo posts a picture so grainy and distorted that you can't tell what the bike even looks like in person, it's NOT HOT.
i mean, at least his front wheel isn't distorted! |

someone criticized me for an iphone pic i snapped...and if you cannot tell what my bike looks like in person based on the pic i posted, check out dr. booth...he's done over 121,000 lasik surgeries so far- he may be able to help you. i thought this was the hot r not BICYCLE thread.....not a dpreview forum..... but yeah.....it does hurt being called a geek from a guy sticking his tongue out while wearing a sleeveless jersey in his avatar. |

To me, colored tires are something a rookie does to help make his bike flashy. Like a 16 year old that puts, "Powered by honda" on their front windshield. 2) the saddle and bar tape are slightly off from matching. Not a big deal at all but it stands out to me. (who is gonne see it when your sitting anyway) These are just my opinions. That does not take away of how nice your bike is though! |

Giant TCR Advanced SL SRAM Red 3T Team Cockpit Selle Italia Carbonio Saddle Kit Look Titanium Blades Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR KMC X10SL Gold Elite Carbon cages http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...%20SL/pic1.jpg I think the photo itself (Not to get to picky here) would be much more appealing if it didn't have so much contrast. The depth of field is good, but you loose the front of the bike and some detail. (I know this isn't a photography forum though) |

Got the blue tires when they were on sale, but kinda tired of them too. 2. The saddle is a little shiny and the tape isn't, which is why the difference in the pics. The bike originally came with a black Fizik K1, which I didn't take with the bike. Found the carbon saddle on eBay, it's a pretty rare color combo. |
that makes sense. I'm not a giant fan, but I have seen a couple hot ones here lately. how much does she weigh in at?
|
Did a 45 miler on her today.. http://j.mp/w9kSBd very smooth and stiff ride. But had trouble with leg cramps, which took the joy out of the ride. As far as the pic, I couldve closed it up a bit, but kept the apeture at 2.8, like the bokeh look..thats why the back ground is a bit blurry. Also compression degraded the pic a bit. This bike weighed in at 15.25 lbs, might be lighter now with the new chain and 3T Ergosum Team Handle bar. Had a 1070 and Ritchey WCS alloy before. Also thanks for the nice comments.

white giant: highly sloped top tube, spacers, and 17 degree stem dont jive together. cannot unsee.

No sweat, cheap beer gives me more play with my bike budget.

Winter mode, took off my zipps is about the extent. Once i have a little more cash, I plan on building up a "classics wheel;" 36 or 32 hole aluminum tubular with a pave cx. (excuse the poor quality of the beer choice, had a party the other day)

youre right, its not 17, but it looks off flipped down with spacers and a highly sloping top tube.
