Sorry man, yellow and red on the bars, hoods, and rings is a Not from me.
Obviously, not quite finished and with my buildup wheels, Plus this was clearly not a picture taken for Hot or Not. I'll have it finished by the end of the week/weekend. http://liveoncenjoy.com/SMF/MGalleryItem.php?id=667 |
You know, stay in one of the better rooms for a few nights and the cost of the bike would not seem like much...

Then you probably wouldn't like my new build. Though it is more of an electric green/yellow than yellow. I call it Tennis ball colored.

I'd limit the add-on colors and use black tape. The red anno bits might have been pushing it. |

Fuji used a bit of that 'tennis ball' green as an accent color on my frame. I'm not real wild about it...but I guess it gives a little flare. (It was a cracked chainstay replacement, so I didn't have much choice.):

I'll tell you what, you really have to have some faith and trust in your architects and engineers to test something like that.

Well here is my Bella Donna up for your consideration. Built up by me from an unlabled Kuota Kredo 12K carbon frame with Campagnolo Record and Chorus 10 spd components. I respoked the Campy Khamsin G3 wheels with Sapim CX-Ray spokes which made them much lighter and responsive. I felt gold and red looked good with the clear coat carbon and added bling to dress her up. Then named it for my dear wife who not only tolerates my bike passion but encourages it.
http://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...4&d=1361896086 Campagnolo is a nice group. Unfortunately, the mixing and matching of colors reminds me of McDonalds but it doesn't make me hungry. NOT HOT. |

+1. That (and the saddle bag) are too much. On the other hand, I think the rims and gold accents are nice. Seems like you had a decent concept (adding some color)...but took it way too far. Black saddle bag, hoods, and bar wrap would go a long way in toning it down. I'd change the rings too, but I know that's a more expensive swap. Please do the wrap and bag at least...
For my part it must be the strong Latin influences of the Southwest. Most fellow bikers here have expressed admiration for the Bella Donna's appearance. Now stop talking about buildings and high flying swimming pool and get back to hot bikes.... even if mine does not qualify. :thumb: |

Not a big fan of heights myself and if I looked over the edge of that pool, there'd be a Baby Ruth incident.

I like the Bella Donna lettering and if it was mine, I'd ditch the yellow and red as well. Just use the nice orange for accents, and you got a nice two tone bike in a classy frame.

WOW! Man, I know my bike has some flash, but I did not expect it to solicit such strong negative reactions. I find it hard to believe you all have such conservative tastes. :p For my part it must be the strong Latin influences of the Southwest. Filipino? No, just a Gringo living in Mexico's northern territory, Arizona. I also spent 8 1/2 years in Nicaragua.

I usually look past non-modern cf framesets but this is definitely HOT. The color of the frameset and all the chrome/polished parts are just perfect. Again, HOT.

Bros,
I'm looking for some styling advice. My new steel frame is below. Metallic Blue --> Gray fade. I'm building it with SRAM Force, 3T Pro (white stripe) fork/bars/post/stem, and de-stickered Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels. The goal was all-black components. The only aesthetic issue is headset/BB color. I'm obsessing about it, but this is the thread for it. The BB is italian threaded - SRAM's only italian BB is silver. Chris King's Silver doesn't match SRAM's silver. Chris King's Black headset wouldn't match the BB. Chris King's Blue doesn't match the blue of the frame, but it might look good. I was thinking about going with one of their Pink headsets, since two women in my life recently dealt with breast cancer, but i don't know. Any opinions? http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7135/7...d3f5a519_o.jpg |

http://www.thewashingmachinepost.net...oce_pewter.jpg Also CK doesn't make Italian-thread BBs. http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4013/4...3b0_z.jpg?zz=1 |

+2 but I confess I'd LOVE to see it with the wheels on...
i would post a picture with the "old" black wheels but photobucket is down. The new silver wheels (tubular) are not laced up yet. I've been putting it off because I had a stock of clincher tires to go through. edit: photobucket is back up. Here she is with the wheel and saddle that are not on the other bike. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...4-03183621.jpg |
