Speechless! That pink is so hawt! I am very manly and i endorse this pink beauty. Any idea of how much it weighs?

When I first built this up almost two years ago, it was 15.3lbs with Sram Red-black, Enve 65s, Enve stem/handlebar, Rotor 3D+... I haven't weighed it since. I'm sure it's slightly heavier with EPS but I've never been a ww to begin with.

*edit* -- how much drop you got there? Though, I suppose w/ the ISP, you can always go lower (seatpost) later.

Thanks. The drop is around 5-6in.

That is pretty darn light for an Aero bike. Ok, so.. if you had to chose between this or the DeRosa... which one? :)

I'd be torn because both bikes share similar ride characteristics, but I'd choose the Ridley at the end of the day. One thing I noticed with the Ridley (even with the older 2011 Noah I had test ridden) was that its very easy to get the bike up to speed. Handling is spot on, and I haven't had to second guess myself on descents as it feels very stable. The 2012-current models have slightly improved in comfort due to the different carbon layup from previous years. I've done a back to back century on the Ridley and on the De Rosa; the edge in comfort definitely goes to the De Rosa.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Much appreciated.

Its finally going to hit the 40s-50s towards the end of the week. With that said, the Ridley is ready to go!

That bike is flat out amazing.

Thanks peeps for the feed back on my Allez from a few days back

some final notes

1) the background is the concrete block house of a roadway that makes a flyover by where i live. makes for a nice background
2) shot with my trusty old Nikon D40X with a Nikon 50mm AF-s 1.8. I can't say enough about this lens. Its cheap ($200), fast, light and robust. often times i don't need a tripod in low light because of to 1.8. I've gotten rid of all my other Nikon lenses and i just use this now. if you shoot nikon you need this lens
3) the bike is awesome to ride. The one thing i was nervous about is the saddle - its a 90 gram un-padded taiwan carbon saddle. Its actually not uncomfortable at all. but because there is no cover i felt like i was sliding all around it. the saddle is now 2cm higher than in the picture to match saddle height on other bikes
4) the carbon bottle cages inspire no confidence at all. I'm gonna switch back to more secure cages for all the races with crap roads.
5) the handle bar position is lower than other my other bike. has felt really good so far. so i'm probably gonna keep it that way.

I normally absolutely hate the look of Specialized bikes, and without the colors on yours I'd probably hate it too... but you've got it setup beautifully and the colors take it to another level. I have some plans on doing some 90's-esque custom paint on a bike in the future. Neon colors and polished metal for sure.

1984 Peugeot PSV-10SL
Campy Chorus shifters, Campy Athena FD & RD
Shimano Ultegra drivetrain (Had to due to Swiss-threaded BB)

Rides like a dream and I love it. Weighs in at 19.0 lbs including pedals and cages.

HOTTT... I think the bartape looks great as is. That isn't the original fork is it? Looks almost like a Wound Up fork, but your picture is small and hard to see. Nice job on the retro-modern! :thumb:

The HOT bike should produce enough warmth to ride now... :thumb:

Yes, that's a Wound Up. Sorry about the picture quality, was taken by cell phone and the bike has a fresh coat of polish on it, ;)
No idea why it's so small on the forum, the picture is twice the size when I open it locally on my pc.

and thanks! :)

Rode to the inlet today and took some pics. All of these were taken with my crappy phone camera and just a little bit of photoshop magic.

What's that green stuff all over the ground?

kcollier5 02-19-14 03:32 PM

I'm not sure which "crappy phone" you are using, but most any phone not too old has a pretty great camera on it. That excuse is quickly fading away… (Again, don't blame the pots for the bad soup, usually it's the chef!)

Oh, and the bike is still hot, IMO.

It can probably take British BB which means a Campy crank is doable...

Yes, a British BB would work... kinda.

Swiss: 35 mm X 1mm (25.4 tpi) right/left 68mm
British: 1.370" X 24 tpi and 1.375" X 24 tpi right/left 68mm

If you mix: 35 mm = 1.378". Shell is slightly larger, thread pitch slightly finer. May seem to fit, but will be loose.

^Taken from Sheldon Brown. http://sheldonbrown.com/cribsheet-bottombrackets.html

I'd rather have a mixed drivetrain that fits perfect, than a brand-name-correct one that doesn't.

Thanks.

The phone is a pretty outdated HTC EVO 3D. The camera isn't terrible, but any cell phone simply isn't going to have adequate lensing to take a quality photo (from real camera standards... which most users will judge quality by).

That'd be grass. I live in this crazy place called Florida... where the winters are green and the summers are bleak.

Yeah, it's just bad composition on this one. Lot of shadow / highlight detail, with a lot of distracting shapes / patterns and harsh sunlight that is out of balance. If you put this bike in front of a solid light colored background with softer lighting, it would make a huge difference. But then again, this is bikeforums not FredMiranda ;)
