The SL is hot as well in my opinion. Too bad I can only ride one at a time.

This finish on the SL is ridiculous.

Wicked hot! What Surly model is that?

I was wondering that too and zooming in it looks like the decal says "Pugsley" which can't possibly be right. I've never seen a Surley with those tubes either. I have a feeling the decals are an addition.

Great looking bike though.

Didnt want to get dinged for no pedals

HOTTEST bike in recent memory... Crumpton frames always look great, and you have a slick build, even the cableing shows attention to detail. :thumb:

Seems like any bike with Lightweight wheels will get an automatic HOT... IMHO, a hot bike is something with personality and reflective of the owners care and thoughts, not just a pile of $$$.

I don't care about the LWs. It could be ebay Chinese carbon and still be hot.

My new ride since the CAAD10 died, needs decent wheels:

I put alot of time and thought into both these bikes. I have a set of Boyd 44 that look just as good on either bike. The saddle seat post combo took over 2 months to get. I know what I liked on my SL so it made building the Type 5 easier. The only thing original on SL from when i bought it in 2011 is the frame.

I thought these were 2 different bikes at first.

sbxx1985 08-05-14 05:24 PM

So did I.

sbxx1985 08-05-14 05:27 PM

They should bring the Gulf colors back for carbon. Still hot.
