It's shrunk, but the actual image is still huge - 3858 x 2568 px. It still puts a load on bandwidth and the browser even if it looks smaller, thanks for changing it. Too bad the original was already quoted in the very next post, but what can you do.

No worries, sorry on both accounts:)

Thanks all for your comments on my Super 6. I've made a few tweaks to maybe bring the temp up a few degrees...

FYI for anyone that cares weight with Metron 40/25mm GP4000s, eTap with Quarq Red, and pedals/cages/520 is 14.8 pounds on my bathroom scale.

If it fits you, then it's hot...but you'll probably get "flip it" comments on the stem. And puhleese get a proper Park Tool scale and not a bathroom one. :D

First ride yesterday (58 degrees F) and IT FITS!
Back to the trainer today (currently 22 F)

Folks at LBS want to weigh it on their Park scale, and then take it for a rip :-)

Ill play. Just finally "completed" the build on this Domane SLR that I purchased as a frameset a couple of months ago. I am pretty happy with the results but any constructive (or less than :) ) criticism is welcome. Try and and ignore the bag and lights if possible.

STUNNING RIDE and the matte finish looks amazing. i have a matte black emonda sl6 but it looks nowhere near as sexy as this!

No reason to apologize, if you ride your bike you need to carry spares and the taillight is for safety.

It's hot, now put some miles on it.

Any reason you built it yourself? Looks mostly Trek/Bontrager components.

7.5/10

its configured as best as possible given the frame which looks like an open-mould cyclocross frame.
only fault on parts selection is cranks where a Red or 9170 would be better

They are the Bontrager Aeolus 5 wheelset...

Most of the parts came off of my Emonda so it is essentially a Emonda SLR 8 build onto the Domane frame.

Another black bike.

Recently finished Workswell Bikes WCB-R-066 (Chinese carbon Cervelo R5 clone), full Shimano Ultegra 6800 (53/39 + 11-25, short cage and pedals), Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon Exalith wheelset, Conti 4k2 25c with 60mm stem Conti light tubes, 3T carbon cockpit; team stealth Zero25 post and team stealth Ernova bars with an alloy team stealth Arx2 stem, Fabric shallow scoop saddle (alloy rails pictured, carbon rails on it now) + Fabric silicon bar tape.

Completed Saturday March 18th. I have 2.5 hours on the rollers and one 37 mile road ride on it thus far. So far I'm impressed with the frame. I'll see how it is doing after 500-1000miles...

16.8pounds (7.6kg) as is. I built for durability and not weight.

Not shown: Bottles are Fabric's cageless system and it will get a Wahoo Element Bolt computer when UPS decides to deliver it.

Hot. That's a good looking bike.

although you'll probably want to consider what bottle cages you're gonna buy. those fabric ones are a nice trick and all, but you can only ever use their bottles now, and can't take "neutral support"

I've ridden the Fabric cageless system for about 2 years on 3 bikes. It has proved itself to me over and over (there are two things I hate on bikes, frame graphics and bottle cages).

Also, never take bottles from strangers.

BenPS 03-22-17 05:56 PM

no strange bottles? You're missing out on the best part! ;)

If you like them then great, just wanted to know if you knew what you had gotten in to.

Bike still gets a "hot"

9/10

saddle not quite svelte and the bar, atleast from this angle look a bit weird -- tho bars are sensitive to angle theyre shot from

I recently switched from a Fizik Arione (8 years on that saddle) to the Fabric scoop shallow. I'm happy with the move thus far.

The bars are 3t Ernova... a standard compact.

redfooj 03-22-17 06:31 PM

how high or low the camera is in relation to the bar, and also whether theyre rotated toward or away from the camera also produces very different effect.

the ergonova have really good shape

That it does. The potato angle didn't help.

Nashbar had a closeout, couldn't resist getting a 2nd

Well..They certainly look like bicycles

TenGrainBread 03-23-17 08:35 AM

I always laugh when people use the term "new old stock" for bikes from the last 10 years.

If it's been sitting around for more than a couple of years, still brand new never sold, then by definition it's "new old stock".

That's for bike model years. Parts lines that get used for several years, NOS would be parts that are still new in the box, but no longer in production.

Agreed by definition they are new old stock. Also IMO a not. I have a 2012 Fuji SST that I think is a good looking bike but it gets panned here every time I post it lol. I have some deep carbon wheels coming and might try posting again just to get beat up again. ;)

Sure, but common usage is to refer to collectible/vintage parts and frames, not 5 year old mass production bikes. Hence the laugh.
