I don't know what kind of bottles you use but that looks like plenty of space for even a front-pull bottle cage. Side-pull would be a piece of cake.

Question is, would it be more vain to carry the spare bottle in ones jersey pocket so the bike doesn't look un-hot, or to add a saddle mounted bottle cage so one doesn't look awkward carrying a bottle in ones jersey pocket?

No justice is being done for that Kestrel in that picture. Sharp looking bike, but hard to tell how hot because it is leaning against a sofa at a really weird angle. Can you post a picture with cages and bottles mounted so we can see how much room there actually is?

I posted pics of the bike in this thread, post #21799 , page 872. Basically the bottles always hit the top tube. I've tried different cages. I had a top cap mounted cage, but oftentimes it turned my bottle into a projectile. And the peanut gallery here hated it.
That looks similar size and clearance for bottles as any of my bikes. Are you using 750 ml or 1000 ml bottles or other gigantic water bottles? That may be your issue. A top cap mounted cage looks hideous unless it's a randonneur bike.
Also on smaller frames you may have to angle the bottle a little as you insert it or take it out of the cage. I have to do that on all my bikes, like the one below. If I insist on just yanking the bottles straight up out of the cages, they'll always whack the top tube.

What's odd to me is that it includes so many components and features that I dislike individually but put together it looks really nice.
I don't think I can recall ever seeing a Time that I disliked.

It's really attractive but not quite over the edge to hot for me. The finishing tape is awful, it's almost always ugly and doesn't stick well, should only be used on pro bikes because they're being paid to use it and pimp it even though it's crap. I will say the PRO integrated one piece bar and stem combo is HOT tho.
I'm trying to figure out why it's not hot for me. Maybe a white saddle and white bartape would make it hot.

Both of you folks are short in height. Small frames! I think that what makes the Specialized harder on the eyes for me is not the yellow on black as much as the sloping top tube on such as small frame. The Cannondale not so much. Again nice bikes and kudos for the Boyd wheelset in photo 2..
