cheers, g But seriously, I've not done the event but it's been running for years so it can't be half bad. I would thoroughly recommend doing one or two road races before you try a time trial as the course has a few tricky sections. It would be soooo easy to overcook it early in an ITT if you weren't familiar with the course. [edit] road racing is held on Saturdays at 2pm, except it's not on this weekend. You'll need a road racing licence of some sort, of course. If you don't have one and you still wanna check out the course then we can probably make a decent ride out of it with Climbo and Dr. Shaw one Sunday. |

Watched about 10 minutes of her in some war movie with Bruce Willis in it last night. Even with her in it couldn't go for more than 10 mins. What sci-fi movie was she in where she spends the entire time in PVC? Hrm....maybe Google can help there.....:D |
Tears of the Sun?? Crap.
Malena...great film. (she nudes up, too...:D) |

Jobie's on the juice for sure....
------------------------- World championship bronze medallist Jobie Dajka faces possible expulsion from the sport after attacking national head coach Martin Barras, pushing and pinning him to the ground. Dajka's golden future in cycling may be quickly terminated today when he faces an urgent disciplinary hearing in Adelaide before the Cycling Australia chief executive Graham Fredericks. South Australian police are also investigating an alleged assault. It is understood several cyclists and cycling officials are shocked at what happened and furious that the sport faces intense scrutiny once again. Dajka has been in trouble before, being dumped from the Athens Olympic team for lying to the Robert Anderson inquiry into allegations of drug use by cyclists. It is understood Dajka assaulted Barras, breaking his glasses in the process during a counselling session with a sports psychologist in the cycling offices at the Adelaide velodrome. The counselling session had been organised after Dajka had been involved in several incidents. The most recent had come last weekend when he and another national cyclist, Shane Perkins, traded blows after a fiery discussion about cycling's black days of last year involving the banned cyclist Mark French and the discovery of equine growth hormone in the rooms of the Australian Institute of Sport. Perkins is a one-time training mate of French. French is still awaiting the result of his appeal heard last month before the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Perkins is not the subject of any disciplinary board. Cycling Australia officials would not comment on the matter last night. |

There was also a big write-up on my favourite clown, Dopey Dajka, who is in a spot of bother after getting physical with senior coaching staff at AIS track training in Adelaide on Wednesday. The cops are even considering laying charges. But nothing on the web-site about it unfortunately. [edit] see climbo's post above!! Gawd I'm slow today... must type faster, must type faster, must.... |

Start line is near the marshalling area (the red dot on the map). To get there just go to the roundabout at the end of the freeway. Do a U-turn then take the first off ramp onto Lineghan's drive. Travel on for about a km and take the first left to get to the carpark. |
I shall be there, I think...
how long to get there? race distance? |

I got allocated ONE night at the track only !! The whole track cycling thing is sold out, the mountain bike race is too if you can believe that, it's free but you need a ticket for it, how they can sell that out is beyond me, since when was MTB racing so popular? Good news is the badminton and squash still have plenty of tickets available. :) |

how long to get there? race distance? Should be 40 or 50km. Course is a hotdog with two little hills in the middle and a small rise as you approach each turn. Finish is uphill (~ as steep as ourimbah), but it's fast >60kmh because you come off a downhill run-up. |
