I used Toll to bring a bike from Brisbane. Cost me $75.

Thanks for the tip off. I'll get onto 'em today.

Mate you're freakin' legend.

Firefly quoted me $20. Adelaide Depot to Melbourne Depot.

The girl on the phone told me they always go by weight, not size. Which is outstanding when we're talking about 2kg spinergy wheels. =)

Thanks again.

What happened to the Mexicans? They must be sleeping off the effects of riding so hard.

I've got a stack. Black or silver?

black.

climbo 02-24-05 04:52 PM

actually, I might need a stem also, I'll check my stock at home but don't think I have one to match. 130mm.

Brian 02-24-05 05:21 PM

Hmmm.[sounds of footsteps and creaking of shed door...]

Brian 02-24-05 05:31 PM

Ok, the bars aren't a true (Darth Vader) black. They're like Guiness colored I guess. Only one spare stem in the cheap bin right now. I found it, photo'd it, resized in Photoshop and FTP'd it in what, 3 minutes?

[edit] ok, so it was 10 minutes

To further amuse you guys, I just figured out why I have such a hard time finding bike tires on ebay.au. :)

climbo 02-24-05 05:37 PM

Brian 02-24-05 05:45 PM

Ooops. Center to center is 110mm. Yeah there's heaps of tyres on ebay.au, but not much in the way of tires.

The pump stuff has to be ordered from the US. Speaking of shipping, does anyone know where I can get a box 5cmx5cmx10m? I need to ship a garden hose.

A garden hose for what, fairies? at 5x5x10cm the only standard garden hose that would fit is one you shove in an orchy bottle!!!

Brian 02-24-05 06:04 PM

Good idea. As I recall, there was a company that always measure the flag poles standing up, not laying down. They wanted to know how tall they were, not how long they were.

By now Expat will have completed the pleasantries and will soon break out in a nervous sweat as the questions begin. Don't you just love the pressure you can put yourself under in an interview situation?
