Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

from reports on 26 inches.com it was carnage out there. hell its bad enough sometimes when you get off the train with 20 odd other bikers let alone 300.

blue mountains, from woodford to glenbrook. not a bad ride, a little bland but OK. the issue isnt with the trail but the manners of those that ride it. you get a lot of people with little or no situational awareness that create some safety issues, cutting other riders off, collisons etc. most of which should be able to be avoided.

Apparantly the race on the weekend had a lot of young guys in the fun class who thought they were racing norba. read lots of reports of people shoulder charging, running people off the track etc. although, apparantly in the sport, expert and elite classes things were a lot more civilised.

Aussies get everywhere - Andrew Bogut was taken as the no. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft.

Hasn't taken long for him to pay out on:
Luc Longley
Andrew Gaze
Shane Heal
Chris Anstey

or the aussie NBL (which he never played in)

but good on him anyway!!

Yeah, the Bucks got him. He's been at University of Utah for the last 2 years, he had a great year this year and that combined with his play for the Aussie team hyped him into the no 1 spot. The fact that he's 7' tall helped too

not a bad effort at all considering a few years ago he was struggling to get a run in a starting 5 here in Australia...

now we just need to work out how to get him into the spurs!!
