Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What about how many times Phil sez "His face is a picture of pain."?

Jenny. It's on the website under the COMMITTEE tab

The alternative is to haul yer arse up to Calga on Sunday. Damon will be selling stuff out of the back of the van, as usual.

hey Ed....I saw another motorcyclist smashed up last night, on the corner of Bluff and South.

Taxi driver did a right hand turn in front of him. Didn't look good. I reckon I stood there for nearly ten minutes mixing my 'Gatorola' powder, and, although a 'firey' and coppers were there, the Ambo took ages!!

Fricken taxi drivers. They are getting worse, I reckon.

At least it's not far to hospital from there....

I think I told yous about the dickhead I saw 6 months ago get smashed up wearing thongs, shorts and a singlet.

he "floored" his fast-looking bike from the lights, popped a mono, then got hit.

Well, I went back measured the distance on me pushy.......how fast could a fancy, big road motorbike get up to in 90 metres?....coz, he was going flat-out when he hit the car. Maybe he had a split second to touch the brakes before he got hit

Given that an R1 can get to 100 in 3 seconds, probably pretty quick.....

i know, definite left nut material...... id love one , but given my parents aversion to motorbikes i would come home one day and find it dismantled in my garage curtosy of dad. Ironicly they have no isues with me dodging traffic on a push bike.....

Same logic I used.

I'm chipping away on the Super Sports......by about 2009 I reckon I'll be "allowed" An RSVR 1000.

take care out there HDT, there are volvo drivers about!

I got volvoed yesterday. Soccer mum was looking for a carpark and blinked once before diving into a vacant spot, taking me along for the ride. So much for a) mirrors and b) advanced warning.

All she could offer was "Where did you come from?". I was going to explain to her about coitus and conception, but I didn't have time

I remember my parents saying if I ever bought a bike home they'd take it up into the park and burn it. Well, I decided to test that threat and bought a bike. Needless to say they didn't burn it.

Oooo. Me to. A beautiful brand spanking red one riding around town at the minute. I'm in love. I wonder if by 2009 we'd be able to get a newey? Has Piagio's buyout of Aprillia had any effect on whether the Millie will continue?

Berny got his missus that beaut of a ride-on mower, I got mine a BMX bike. I think he needs to share that again.
