Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

yep, and being fired from the team. One year out of league can be a lot of $$$ these days for a player.

the closest thing I've got to a track bike are my kids bikes. Only one of them is ever guaranteed to be available, and it's built for 2 year olds and is bright pink!

well either you should be there, or get your kids out on the track. The other girls ride their pretty pink bikes in the junior development races.

munchie - how come the club can't get your or my name right? To be on cyclingnews.com and unrecognizable is just not right.

I thought you'd be over imparting your criterium racing knowledge and winning skills to the yanks on that other thread by now.

Yay for cricket. Looks like the Australian pace attack's coming across a bit pedestrian after not playing Bing. Sending the opposition in and not getting a wicket for 25 overs (and warney getting it to boot)? That's hopeless.

Mad stage....saw a glimpse of it on p1ssweak Eurosport News. Was essentially a 46km lead out by the Rabos and QS. Incredible.

LOL, yes it is but you'll get a few pages of discussion on it from the experts anyway. This poor guy is a Cat 5 racer (i.e. total beginner), he should be having fun, a classic over-thinker in my book.

yep, out the back for this kid

BTW, cycling.tv has a behind the scenes look at the cyclingnews.com team, plenty of Aussie content/riders about racing Div 3 in Belgium.

It's a bad thing if you're not 3rd wheel coming into the final corner....

If you're 3rd wheel into the final corner I reckon you'd get about 3.6 nanosecond of rest!!
