Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

does this count as bike content? cheers.

I use Parkers or Prendas.

Never had reason to complain.

Prendas are especially good at answering any delivery/import duty etc questions you might want to e-mail them.

PS There was, of course, copious amounts of obligatory road bike content.

I'd have that looked at if I were you.

let us know how you go....I haven't bought anything from either in a while (apparently pros don't wear my size.....) and I'd like to see if their service standards are still holding up in this age of internet retail.

Fair warning my fellow New South Welshmen: the Melbournites are deploying their mighty weapon of wrath.

Through cunning and guile they have manipulated things so that we receive endless days of gloomy Melbourne weather to mar the start of the road season. Open your brollies and fight this scourge, for over the winter we have much work to do. We must plan our attack carefully and send relentless northerly winds their way to spoil their latte rides along Beach Rd next summer. Be strong, our time of glory will come...

talk about weather: I've gotta admit I've never before seen images of pros riding through bloody snow like we saw on Cycling Central on Sunday.

Dunno how they do it. Not quite as glamorous as France in July.

Do they still ride if the road is icey or snowy?
What weather conditions cause a stage to be reduced or cancelled?

I can relate to the opposite, how hot does it have to get before I get sunburnt, dehydrated and the stage gets cancelled...cycling in 25+ is not fun for us eskimos!

Bikes: Thylacines...only Thylacines.

Wow, did Hitchy just post? Thought you might have fallen down that hole you mentioned earlier mate. What's goin on?

Okay. Coming into my third week without riding and I'm starting to go stir-crazy. Leg has healed enough to get back on the horse so weather permitting a little ride might be in order tomorrow.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to publically thank Saccy amd Munchie for pre-ordering a Team Thylacine jersey. Gentlemen, production starts Friday, and you are both champions. However, US orders still outweigh the locals 2:1, so as usual the local team is letting the side down. However, this figure is still better than the bikes which are currently at 10:1, so there might be hope yet.

Carry on.

Not a worry in the world. I just can't wait for it to arrive.

Actually my sister saw it and wants one for herself. She even said she loved the colour! They make one small enough to fit a little girl about 5'0"?

Dun be worrying about the heat from now on young scot, for the chilly westerlies will be on us before you can say "It must be snowing somewhere!". The winter road race is often very cold because you get blasted the whole way by the freezing winds blowing across the range. Oh yeah, and it rains at the drop of a hat.

That you may be a bit slower if there's a few bumps in the road.
