You can have my old bennett mirage if you're into pale metallic blue. It's got a brand new (<500km) cartridge BB in it, so I'm gonna have to charge you the $70 that it cost to have it installed. The old wheels & concor saddle are mine, but you can keep any other bits that you want (stem, bars, brakes, crankset).

[edit] and yes the size is in the 57-58cm range. I loved the balance of the larger frame size on the old style of bikes, much to the disappointment of my old coach. :)

ok, cool, I'll check it out, thanks.

Is that why he's your old coach ?

rockmuncher 04-06-05 05:47 PM

hahaha nope. I moved and back then the internet as we know it today was only just being born. Coaching by correspondence was a lot tougher back then.

climbo 04-06-05 05:51 PM

cool, you racing Saturday at Calga or doing the CD? I'll stop by your place over the weekend if that's cool, I'm off from tomorrow, last day here so that's why I'm busy researching a new bike and "chatting" on this thing. :D

rockmuncher 04-06-05 06:02 PM

I wanted to do the CD, but having an off (as in @#!!!&&#) week so I might just do Akuna Bay on Sat morning for the sheer unadulterated pleasure, then take the kids up to their grans. I've gotta catch up with Expat sometime, so Sunday might be the Maitland-Newcastle run.

I'll try to get back to Gosford by about 6pm Sunday, if you want to hook up then

climbo 04-06-05 06:08 PM

ok, no worries, I'll be at the footy Sunday arvo, so maybe next week some time is easier. I'll give you a call.

I thought the CD race was cancelled?& Isnt the Footy on Sunday?

Anyway, I'm on the lookout for a track frame/bike if anyone has/knows of one.. probably 53/55 cm.

Started playing with the HRM, got some funny results.
1 hour swim - Max HR 160, Avg 133
50KM cycle - Max HR 168, Avg 149
6.5 KM run - Max HR 179, Avg 168

Now even though the run was about 2 hours after the 50KM cycle... thats about the opposite of what I would have expected...?

No, Sunday after the footy will be good. You'll have fewer inhibitions, so selling the bike will be easier :D

It's back on, only at Minmi not Muswellbrook.

As for the HR, well you won't have a correlation between what you feel and what your HR is doing for about 3 months. Once you do then the pain can begin. Patience grasshopper.

Yeah, have you seen the kind of guys that live in the north of the state? no wonder the chicks are screaming for real men.
