Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ooops.

In case anyone was wondering, this proposed Tennessee bill making it illegal to sell fake urine will have no impact on me.

Square both sides giving you 22-m=m-4, add 4 to both sides giving you 26-m=m, add m to both sides, giving you 26=2m, divide by 2 giving you 13=m.

square both sides, r^2=-20+12r, moving everything to one side gives r^2-12r+20=0. This can be factored into (r-10)(r-2)=0, thus r-10=0, r=10 and r-2=0, r=2.

What level algebra are you in? This stuff is pretty basic

I just spent an hour playing my Martin D28K and singing. Thinking about doing the open mic night up here next month, hoping to maybe meet some local musicians to jam with. As gsteinb correctly pointed out once, I'm a better guitar player than a cyclist. And I suck on the guitar (my vocals aren't quite so bad compared to most of you idiots, but then come to think of it neither is my guitar playing).

Let that be your guide.

I'm not so crazy about playing and singing alone in front of a room full of people (half of whom are musicians, many of them much better than myself) but it's a great way to meet other people to play with. The only way really.

So far the playlist is 'Know you Rider' (Dead song), 'Willin' (Little Feat) and 'The Weight' (The Band), but I got a million of 'em, just gotta tune up the old hootenanny chops. Hey, maybe I'll blow their minds completely and go electric. Thinking about doing an acoustic version of Won't Get Fooled Again, love playing that song. But nothing with more than 5 chords. Let's not get carried away, I'm no Grumpy McTrumpy.

Whoah.
