If I had his contact information I would forward your trite comment to him and urge him to issue you a traffic citation for traveling too slow on the roadway.

Ugh...next few weeks are going to suck. We are super busy...very good for a small paper mill...but it means we are running 7 days per week, 24 per day, until we complete the orders. We started a new schedule today...4-12 hour rotating shifts followed by 2 days off...rinse repeat. On 12 hour days today and the next three then 2 days off and 4 12 hour overnights...No riding on the work days is a major ugh but the paychecks are mighty sweet and hopefully will be back to a nice 5 day work week before too long.
Odd to whine about too much work in this economy but all work and no play makes me cranky lol.

We've had some seriously horrible luck this month....
50+ mph winds blew in our garage door, our 10 year-old deep freezer that stores about a month's worth of food is on the verge of death, and our hot water heater has now started leaking (not from a repairable source, e.g. intake pipes).
oi.

CNBC rocks. Erin Burnett, Becky Quick. Yum. And a rant from Santelli is always fun, sort of like a Phil Hellmuth meltdown.

There are so many signs it's turning it's rather convincing, not only on CNBC. I'm seeing it in my investments and big time in the business. Very different than last year, which was like Night of the Living Dead. I'd say it's 1/3-1/2 way back. The investments are all the way back and then some.
The investments have roared back for a couple of key reasons: companies fired so many people and cut costs so hard they are super profitable now, and stocks had sold off to preposterous End of Days levels by March of 2009, which is when I started loading up the truck. Caterpillar for $26? It's about $68 now. Apple for <$90? Closed at $270+ today. It goes on and on, every decent stock out there doubled in value, some tripled. But those companies are going to start hiring; in point of fact they already have started.

For every good sign I can find a bad one (e.g., Greece/the Euro tanking). Wake me up when we start creating even enough new jobs to even keep up with the population growth. . . .

Trailing indicator. Always has been. That's always the last thing to turn, and the most painful for the people impacted and the economy in general. My point is that if you had asked me a year ago how things would have been in April of 2010, I would have thought it would have been far gloomier and scarier than they have actually turned out to be.

My most important indicator - in the last 3 months, I've had more clients make 5-digit hifi purchases than in the preceding 9 months. If nothing else, people are certainly feeling more comfortable spending money, and that's a good start.

pcad, my race was hard.
average HR (for those poor souls who don't own powermeters) was 177 for 56 minutes. The "I think I might die" actually started around 20 min.
Why is it that on the garmin the max speed was 31.0 in training center there is a clear peak aroun 35 and when loaded into my free trial of WKO+ there is a max of 44? WKo/training peaks (is there a difference?) also has my HR av at 180...not a big difference but top speed of 31 to 44 sure is.
