Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wrong side of the bed, much?

I don't know the specifics of the episode that you're referring to, but I'm guessing that it all depends on context. What you're failing to recognize, here, is that all of the idiot name-calling is happening in an idiot thread.

Which just gave me a great idea - forget the Fubu line of clothes. Instead, you can have the FIBI line of cycling apparel - For Idiots, By Idiots.

Exactly.

Let's face it, we all get on our bicycles every day, ride all over the place, and come back home. In other words where are we all going?

Friggin nowhere.

If you actually have yet to figure out that all of this stupid bike crap is a waste of money, you're not paying attention.

Wow, not to be a total dick or anything... (Also, SRAM group sets are lighter than their Shimano equivalent, according to Velo News' 2010 gear guide.)

Let's see...27grm CF cage that cost $60 for a Zipp CF, lightest one I could find; or oh, a TI King cage at 28grms for the same cost; or a King Stainless at 48grms for $18.......hmmmmmmmmmm, you have two cages thus cf vs stainless weight is 42grms favor of CF, and the cost difference is $84 favor of Stainless for just a hair less then 1 1/2 ounces which weighs as much as 11 one dollar bills. OR you can get a Ravx Arrow X cage made of plastic (for those who must have the CF look) for $6 that only weighs 38grms.

Personally, I don't fret over weight, and I don't like the look of plastic or CF cages, so I stay with Stainless, they last a very long time and hold my 24oz bottles tight without leaving marks on the bottles.

Not sure why we're talking about cages, but you can get a pair of good generic carbon ones that weigh 20-something grams each for about $25 shipped from Asia. Why wouldn't I use them at that price?

Right...why not? Especially if you like the look.

Dang it -- where is that Dog wound tight as a clock that we were all coming to love?

Anyone who intends to spend much time needs to understand that BF owes its existence to pcad. First of all, he supplies about 1/3 of the total posts. Most of the remaining 2/3 are replies to his posts. Maybe 1% are intelligent questions, but no one care about them. Without the advertising revenue generated by people looking at pcad's posts and the replies, the server bills couldn't be paid and life as we know it on BF would cease to exist.

Pcad- you may want to check your chain on the new bike. The Shimano name should be on the side pointing out to the right. My new Look had it wrong but that's probably because it wasn't in French.

Yeah well if it shifts this good with the chain on backwards, I don't want to F with it.
