Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Correct.

And that's what you get for riding that SRAM crap.

Seriously; I mean what kind of Fred does a face-plant on a MUP?

I wish someone had a helmet cam so I could do a side-by-side comparison to this:

At least this didn't happen while riding with a handlebar mirror on the TD Bank 5 Borough Bike Tour while wearing a Met's jersey...

Yeah, I was crowned state riding champ.

Hey Gomer, you should go on 'Biggest Loser' because for you it would be a show with multiple aspects.

Thats probably only so they can redesign it around WebOS since they thought it was a smart move to acquire Palm for 1.2bil. In the end I think they'll still fail miserably against the Apples hype (and with good reason) machine and the Android Tablets.

Apple's hype is only exceeded by its engineering, software and technology, which consistently lives up to it. If it didn't, they wouldn't sell so much stuff. Unless you think the bazillions of happy customers are all idiots, which is your Fredrogative.

You didn't see the parenthesis? You only wish you could live up to the apple fanboyness I exude.

Will you give me some New York apparel to wear on the show?

This afternoon I blew through the 20 mph school zone at 25 mph.

The police guy didn't even bother looking over from his traffic directing.

How disappointing. Maybe I'll yell and get his attention next time. "Look, I'm speeding!"

80 degrees and sunny in Central NY. Improved my lunch-loop ride time by 12%, even though it was pretty windy.

Of course it's always at least a little windy around here. I can see a wind farm from my house (you betcha.....)

It's 80 degrees out, nice breeze, sunny, low humidity - and I'm on bikeforums debating whether or not to go on a ride.

What is wrong with me?

Well, I ended up doing only 22 miles. Hard 22 miles, though. Better than nothing.

I have a question, about something I encountered today. I was behind a woman on a tri bike, and then realized that in the right light her shorts were kind of translucent.. and although there's worse things to encounter, I then wondered if that happened to me as well, or if it was just that her shorts were old and worn?

Was she hot?
