Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Janet Jackson was just smokin tonight. Now that's entertainment. Hey, say what you want about American Idol, but it is rather entertaining, at least for morans like me. And once again, the wrong kid won.

Doesn't matter of course. Just ask Chris Daughtry, who didn't even make the final three the year he was on the show. He's doing OK. The show is great for pop music, huge audience, great showcase for all kinds of rock/country/pop musicians from several eras.

addiction or obsession?

you know when you wake up in the middle of a dream? well i woke up this morning dreaming that my bike had been run over and snapped in a car park and i was arguing with the driver and her husband was trying to restrain her after she blew her top when i told her she owed me a new bike.

So I found a deal on a Garmin Edge 205 - $60.

Does it not do cadence? That's kind of disappointing.

you should have done the 305 when best buy was blowing them out. (though the sensor for cadene is an extra $50 from REI)

Yes. I live in Alexandria VA (15 minutes by bike from DC) and yes, there are in fact hills here.

I assume you're just messin' with me, but I want to clarify.

Haha yeah. There's some pretty nice hills just down the road from me.... not particularly long (under a 1/2 mile) but several 20%+ grades.

There are some good hills in my neighborhood. It's 90 and humid today. Sucks.

Just replaced the stock tires with Conti Attack/Force combo. I like. This could get addicting.

He had such potential.

His introduction thread got moved to P&R, if that tells you anything.

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...troduce-myself.

Then he started a thread on other forums that he had problems with. The racist rhetoric was icing on the cake.
