Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'll take your word for it.

BTW...all my bikes burned up in a house fire. You should see what a good fire does to carbon fibre.

are you sure it wasn't caused by the carbon spontaneously combusting?

Spontaneous bicycle combustion.

yes. when you start riding, do you do a warm up and if you don't do you get a tight chest if you ride hard too soon?

Yes, if your avatar is a pic of you, what bibs are you wearing? You look uncomfortable, and I'd like to avoid them.

I don't start out going full steam, if that's what you're asking. It's more of a moderate pace.

But I usually don't stretch much like I did when I was running.

Not yet. I've still got a little more commercial lube left.
