Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have club cut XLs and they are baggy so I don't like using them for racing ( I don't think they actually hurt my chances, but if I post a picture in the 33 they will make fun of me for a parachute). I have a much tighter GBW jersey I do, but not sure of the cut...oh jeez this is what I get for joining a club after the initial order.

A shame, right? I just received some Performance Ultra shorts, today, was thinking about adding some upside-down, through-the-crotch shots of my own.

This must be the worst time of the year for the BF moderators. Mainly because it's the "big event" month in France, which most likely brings in a lot of new members, that on top of having to deal with all the regular BF numskulls. No doubt that is why the shorts thread vanished - not wanting to leave a bad impression for all the newcomers. Few things are more uncomfortable than having to look at the backside of a cyclist.

The stained chamois was just gross. I think that was worse.

thi evening i was riding past a security sensitive place and something was going on because they suspended parking for long long way either side of the venue, van loads of cops, and loads of armed police lining the road. Made me really nervous ridin there. what if they got jumpy and shot at me. Some of the other riders were going fast enought o be difficult target but i was a sitting duck. Then i saw why. a former party leader showed up amongst other dressed up old farts.

As the lowly newcomer, you're a lot like the house mom living in the sorority.

Yeah, especially when the "new member" is the trolling sock of a regular numbskull.

Oh boy, let's all go see The Last Airbender.

Good grief, do I have to wait until the new Wall Street movie in September to see a good flick? The trailer for that has M. Douglas' character with Sympathy for the Devil rocking on the soundtrack. I can't wait.

There are two offending threads being discussed. 1) is the stained chamois thread, which can still be seen, but locked for obvious reasons. 2) was the Do these shorts fit? thread, which, as has been pointed out, was started by a sock troll, and has been disappeared.

I was in a t-shirt and shorts, walking the dog with my wife, coming out from behind a tree where I had just taken a leak. Just me, her and the dog. At 8:00 at night with nobody else around. I don't know who the stupid cop thought I was exposing myself to. It really was just a dumb kid cop. The assistant D.A. took one look at the complaint in court and said 'I'm not going to prosecute this' and they dismissed the case on the spot.
