Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is a problem. Games are way too long. They need to put timed shock collars on the players.

If you are just cycling, get a skin suit, not a tri suit.

Pitcher views the scenery for 30seconds. The batter stares at his bat for a few seconds. Then pitcher shakes off two or three pitch calls from the catcher, opting to do the same pitch again. Then batter steps outside the box to spit.

The catcher/pitcher then repeat their pitch call charade. The batter, disrupted by the long delay, calls timeout, steps outside the batter's box, takes off his gloves, spits on them, then puts them back on again. Finally he re-enters the box and the pitcher is ready to go.

FOUL BALL.

Repeat.

It's like 5minutes b/ween pitches...
Fixed.

Aha! I don't actually plan on it anyway, but good to know.

It's too late to try to redeem yourself. BF is standing over you pointing and laughing at your misfortune. Such is life.

Probably wasn't as bad as this guy https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...hlight=flipped

Sometimes I think I'm the only one who rides anymore. It's no wonder the obesity rate in this state is approaching 50%. I'm the only one who has decided not to let themselves go.
Was said female being cavorted with wearing the desired jersey?

And yes, they are more aero and I've heard that they make a measurable difference (you'd have to talk with some of the aero geeks in the 33 in order to find out the real difference). A lot of guys use them in crits.

Haha, I was going to check out the new apartment.

I was thinking about letting you draft behind me, because you can easily get up to to speed just coasting down the first hill.

You should have gone the other way down Sutherland Avenue. There's like forty empty UT apartment buildings there now, right along the bike trail. Talk about dumb.

I suppose the fact that ptle is 135 pounds kind of pokes a hole in my story about everyone letting themselves go.

Oh well.

I use to live in those apartments. It's where a lot of international students lived. The rent was ridiculously cheap at $250. They remind me of welfare housing apartments, but weren't bad inside.
They're tearing them down to build about ten intermural fields. Everyone had to leave the beginning of summer.

Also I made sugar cookies today. I burnt them though because I was busying doing something... probably reading BF.

I go by there all the time. I don't know what condition they're in inside (apparently not very good), but it sure seems like a waste. Maybe they should have been charging more rent and used the money to do better maintenance.

Eat another cookie, dude. You're making the rest of us feel fat.

I just did, over half of them are already gone.

They claimed it would cost 80 million dollars or something ridiculous like that to keep the apartments up. 80 million sounds like could just buy new apartments, but I think that's the number they used. It didn't make any sense at all and lots of people were angry about it. Apparently the apartments violated fire codes and other codes because they're so old. It would be more beneficial for them to tear them down. They also shut down many other dorms on campus, further limiting living space on campus.

What if I'm picking my own three, not-so-standard events? Like, say, off-road cycling, pistol shooting, and kickboxing?

I call it the "commutriathlon." Do they make a tri suit rated as level 3A or better ballistic armor?

This post was #11111. In bowling, a 111 is called the sh it house. In BF, 11111 would be the deluxe sh it house.
