Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You could ride tomorrow too you know
Friday is my only rest day actually, and I was at happy hour tonight, so no can do.

I came up on the accident very quickly after it happened, but I'm not sure what happened. I saw no car. I think I got there quick enough that I would have seen a car speeding off, but you never know. I never heard confirmation one way or another. Either way, that's National Park Service land, and they had 6 cop cars there within 5 minutes. I don't think all those extra cops appreciated having to respond to a bike accident before 7am when they could have been sipping coffee and resting, which is why the crackdown is going on.

Look, there's no real shame in riding a 29er single speed rigid bike if you enjoy it, but it just doesn't serve any purpose that a different bike would do better.

Watch your CC bill.... also, I think you have to call to cancel, so make sure you call a few days ahead if you don't want to buy another $40 worth at full price.

So who is the Mark Renshaw of Global Locate then? I would guess pcad based on the headbutting, but that implies pcad is fast.

I'll say this. Single speed does have its disadvantages, but for me, it makes me take better lines, and keep as much momentum as I can, which in turn makes me a better rider. When I would ride a mountain bike with gears I was more worried about what gear I needed to be in rather than taking good lines. Learning to take good lines on the single speed crosses over to a geared mountain bike, so it makes me faster overall. It's not for everyone but I like it.

It says risk free and nothing about another order, I don't think that I will have to buy more even if I don't cancel.

...Right?

The ice cream vendor at the park had excellent ice cream.

Clear evening by the lake, good jazz, good food.

More importantly, the Cubs beat the Phillies 12-6. We're undefeated since the All Star break.
