Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You should be in PR. That could really work. Kind of a Waterboy like savant of cycling.

I wasn't a fan, and actually was a fan of Andy before this stage. But, I don't have an issue at all with what happened. I understand there might be some "code", but these people are at the top of the game. How can anyone expect them to have a controllable killer instinct. It's their whole life, not a Sunday ride.

What I want to know is how the F do you drop your chain in that situation? I only drop my chain shifting to the little ring. He wasn't doing that. I don't get it.

Never would have happened with D.A. That was Sram or Campy wasn't it?

Correct. Next time you'll get the Death Penalty instead of the Community Service sentence.

If it were only the 2 of them in the race, maybe. There are others that can factor in.

I've ridden my road bike 140K+ miles and never lost my chain when I wasn't shifting. How is that even possible?

You don't meet the necessary wattage to lose your chain.
