Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Now I feel like it's dumb to run my cross bike 9 speed. Oh well.

The nazi's tortured us (me and my bud with the Mellow Johnny's shorts) on Saturday by riding just above my ability and sitting up just as I was ready to give up no less than three times. Here's the first of three drops for your viewing pleasure. We got back on a bit after this as they slowed briefly to let someone retrieve a bottle.

It's easier when they just hammer and leave me for dead on the first one.

P.S. - breathing through your eyes does not work

Indeed. Usually it works to stay on one of the guys in the team kit. I didn't realize the rest of the gang was gone until it was too late and may not have had the beans anyway.

I find it difficult to maintain the chase after throwing up.

It's either "have come" or "I came" - not both.

I wish I had worked in the era of Mad Men.

Scotch, cigarettes and secretarys.... things you generally don't have in an office now.

The worst is when your mouth is completely dry, but cannot even reach for your bottle, because if you do, you might lose their wheel.

Well if you work in a bike shop, the minute it closes, the beers come out.

the proper way to do is to let the person behind you know you're going to pull off so it doesn't catch them by surprise and they can start coming around you as you fade.

I think you misunderstood what he said.

Edit: Or maybe I missed what you were saying.

My point is that it is dying at an ever increasing rate. It's not evolution at this point. The most common sense errors are common now. It's rather sad, if you ask me. And that's coming from someone that has always struggled with writing.

I usually get 20k+ miles out of them. I use my feet 90% of the time.
