2+ hours of longer (5-15 minutes, varied with the terrain, full recovery in between) intervals on the TT bike, HR about 170.

That sucked pretty hard. Which means it was a good workout. Also, I pulled out the allen keys 20 mins into the ride and spread the aero bars out one more inch. HUGE difference in my ability to maintain the aerobar position, that really is important. Doesn't matter how narrow you are up front if you can't stay in the position.

Starting to feel dialed in on that TT bike. I'll be riding that for intervals 1-2x weekly. I'll tell you this: after suffering on that stupid Slice, the regular road bike feels like a tanning bed.

you know riding a trainer outside of your garage doesn't make much sense. You ride the trainers inside when it is cold or raining outside. And how do you know your position is more aero? did you go to a wind tunnel? we need pics of that too.

Is this thread still building? Holy snikies!

I can see this will never work.

You 41 Freds are not blog worthy.

patentcad 03-03-10 05:25 AM

By the way, my deck is covered in a fresh inch of snow. I hope you're all friggin happy.

v70cat 03-03-10 06:56 AM

F the trainer. I can't ride that thing. Besides, a day off does me more good than riding at this point anyway.

Really, really, really, really, incorrect.

roadiejorge 03-03-10 09:15 AM

Not riding today wasn't a tough decision at all. As for the trainer (which I've used more this year than in past years) I put it in front of the window in my dining room which faces the street and has a nice view of the city so I avoid staring at the wall or TV.

v70cat 03-03-10 11:06 AM

I just down load a video podcast and watch it on my computer.

Jim Crammer is always good for a 30 min workout.

PS I don't wear a helmet while riding the trainer

I'm really, really, really, really addicted to this sport, I rode today. 20 miles on the MTB in the slop, easy, a few hills (every ride around here has a few hills of course).

Now do you ingrates understand the title and real purpose of this thread? You know, BF doesn't even deserve me.
