Problem created. Eff Quark or SRM. I like the Ptap. It's a snap to move between the three bicycles I use it on. I'm not going to start pulling friggin cranks off to move my power meter around.

That's MSRP. I've already seen new ones on eBay for $2300 or so. A year from now used? <$1500. With a Ptap hub? If I can find a set next year, probably $2000-$2400. I'm sure I'll get close to $2K for my old Ptap/404 clincher set. My guess is that the swap will cost me a net of $400-$700 or so.

I'm going to go donate some spare parts to a local bike organization a little later. I see they have a Kona Stinky. Who doesn't want a Stinky? I'm tempted, but 'cross must come first.

I'm hoping to find some other road saddles there though.

At the interval thing I went to the other day, others kept asking me how many watts I was averaging. The first guy I said "I don't know, I don't have a power meter. It took me 6:28". After that, when asked about my watts, I replied "All of them"

Quel 07-23-10 11:09 AM

How are you supposed to know how average of a rider you are without a power output? Only someone truly dedicated would pay $1000+ for something to tell them how badly they suck.

On the Road Nazi Ride last night there were three cyclists who had the body build of a 13-year-old--even though they weren't.

Disgusting, and, I might add, not very draftworthy.

Nobody cares what you think. By the way, don't worry about those chest pains, it's probably heartburn.

Which toupe do you have? Looking at Specialized site, it shows 4 different ones, none of which have gel. But looking at google, there are ones with gel. WTF? I don't think I want gel, I have that in my avatar.

I got a good deal on the Team model as it sat at my LBS forever (all year this year). Free grip tape!! WoooooT!

I've heard nothing but crap reviews on the GEL model. Stay away from it...

Yup. Education and health care are the two largest sectors, at least in the Syracuse metro area.

I suspect (though I haven't measured frequently enough to know for sure) that I've remained within a 10-pound weight range for the past 15 years.

Genetics (mostly) plus exercise.

Losing weight smooth and steady... That way it stays off. Was hoping to by under 200 by now, but a back injury kept me off the bikes for 6 weeks, and then right when I got back on schedule, picked up Lyme's which screwed me up for another 2 weeks (hopefully beating it now). Crappy Summer so far...

I hear you pal. First I have to go to Greece. Then I have to buy a car. Then I have to start hammering to get more business. Hopefully we'll get so busy over the next 60 days I can just try and handle the work. We have been getting busier lately.

I don't like to took at my HR readout on fast rides or races, because it inevitably tells me I should have detonated 5 mins. ago.
