Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need a vacation. I'd even take a long layover at Heathrow, if necessary.

I'll ride commando just for you this weekend. Maybe I'll be converted.

Haven't been out prowling much lately. So it's not going well. I need to build a trap.

Has the BF Jen hysteria worn off? As Vol put it, it appeared you had a lot of bike weenies hot and bothered.

So I have a question - as a kid, the Brits always made fun of people by calling them "puftas." I had no idea what that really meant until I googled it a couple days ago.

Is that still used, similar to the American equivalent?

Bikes: Velo Volmobile

This thread appears to have fallen victim to its own success. The signal-to-noise ratio is getting out of hand.

In the absence of Pcad, I blame myself.

I like the Pinarello too. Getting one in my size would have been a small miracle.

And it's this one.

Success? This thread exists merely to inflate post counts, if that were even worth anything.

Not for all. I appreciate the occasional coffee shop bike weenie banter.

I could give a shlit about post counts.

I came across this. Sastre's R5 setup. I think 2011 might be the end of the R3 line.
