Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Look!

On Wednesday, March 31, we will be going dark briefly to install the next update of the forum software. We don't anticipate being down very long, and I will let y'all know the expected time shortly.

Will this lead to another round of BikeForums havoc and member protests?

Extraction went smoothly. I'll get the first implant post in a few weeks.

Better still: I can ride my bike, dentist says dry socket is an issue with lower jaw extractions, rarely with upper. So he gave me the green light to ride. Hoping I won't need pain meds since the extraction went easily (last time the tooth broke up and it took him half an hour, this time it took him two minutes. Big difference.

Pics of gross extracted tooth upon request.

One Bike Forums frustration is discovering some of the good threads here only after they get locked.

We should have a ratings system which allows users to highlight the idiot threads so that I can quickly spot them when I log in.

There is not a facepalm worthy enough to post at this point in this Gandalf's-beard-like thread.

Pcad, if that is your tooth, then you are lying about your age. You are at least 83 years old with a tooth like that.

Tooth extraction site, stitches and all, is not hurting much, and this AM it responded nicely to Advil. Big difference from the last time. One more day off the bike, I'll be training tomorrow. Man, it's hammering rain and wind again here today.

Oh don't worry, when it's time for your tooth to come out, it will notify you.

We need a moderator to perform an extraction here.
