They are light and they look cool. All bicycle calipers suck, it's a matter of degree.

Do they work as well as Dura Ace "modulators" or have you trades performance for light weight?

Shimano Ultegra and D.A. brakes are, of course, better. But the Zero G's do work. Again, I strongly feel all bicycle calipers suck. Much of that is because 700c bicycle wheels don't have a lot of traction to work with. So you can lock 'em up alright, but that doesn't mean the stupid bike will actually stop.

Good thing I wasn't eating anything when I clicked on this thread, discussions of caliper extractions always turn my stomach.
