Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Glad you extraction went well, looks like Thursday will be a good day to ride.

Fixed.

They are light and they look cool. All bicycle calipers suck, it's a matter of degree.

Do they work as well as Dura Ace "modulators" or have you trades performance for light weight?

Shimano Ultegra and D.A. brakes are, of course, better. But the Zero G's do work. Again, I strongly feel all bicycle calipers suck. Much of that is because 700c bicycle wheels don't have a lot of traction to work with. So you can lock 'em up alright, but that doesn't mean the stupid bike will actually stop.

Good thing I wasn't eating anything when I clicked on this thread, discussions of caliper extractions always turn my stomach.

That Spartacus: Blood and Sand show is getting juicy. Very entertaining. Excellent actors, good script, lots of cool sex and violence. What's not to like?

Yeah, sounds good I'm always up for a ride and it would be nice riding with kimconyc again. Do you need a helmet mirror? I have an extra alloy one (sorry, I use the carbon one) but no dork disks.

First Annual Pcad's Fredly Century Ride starting at Strictly and up to Pcad's place for a BBQ?

Pcad can recoup the cost of his teeth by charging $50 a head for the self-supported ride--BYOB, mirrors and dork disks not provided, must ride single file.

How much does that tooth weigh? You probably just got a better $/gram savings than carbon bottle cages.

Maybe this will start a Fred pilgrimage to Mecca (Casa del Pcad) for a viewing of the tooth.

Probably not.

Oh, don't worry, they'll make it up here all right. Remember they all have compacts and triples. It will soften them up, and when they get to my driveway, I'll sic my killer watchdog on them.

How awesome would a photo of that stupid tooth on a gram scale have been? Have you no greater appreciation of True BF Pointlessness?

sorry, I was eating a slice of pizza while riding with no hands and it had lots of Oregano so don't hang on to my wheel too closely.

The damn thread is trying it's best to die, P.

Let it slip peacefully beneath the waves. Start a new one. Who's better at that than you?

Wait, so you didn't keep the tooth?

At < 5g it would have made a nice headtube badge on the Addict, probably would have even provided some aero benefits.
