They have a lot of nerve questioning the authenticity and quality of this thread. They know nothing.

I survived my epic Polk County wilderness ride. Thanks for your concern.
I only went 30 miles, but saw lots of awesome Tennessee scenery, with a few less-than-scenic abodes along the way.
I'm not exactly Mr. Tidy & Organized, but good grief, some of those places I had to look twice to believe people lived there. I just don't get the living junkyard motif.

I sometimes drool over and start thinking about a new frame...something sexy and carbon perhaps...then I ride my 10 year old Merlin Ti, which seems to be pretty much bomb proof, looks great and rides like a dream and I forget about a new frame. Doesn't mean I can't look though...hmmm that has a familiar ring to it hehehe.

It's a very smooth ride and responds really quickly when you put the effort in, which was a nice feeling as I was zipping along the Greenway on my way home Friday. I was wondering whether they ordered the wrong cassette because I felt like I was getting much more output in the same gears I use on my BMC, it felt that way today too. This bike's probably 1 1/2 to 2lbs lighter than my BMC so I'm sure that factors into it as well; the handling is really nice as well plus it's stiff but not harsh at all. I have my Williams 19s on it which compared to my Fulcrum 7 on the BMC are much lighter and roll smoother.

hey jorge how about a close-up pic of that seatpost/frame interface, that looks interesting, is that just a standard 27.2 seatpost?
bike looks great.
this was such a perfect morning for a ride too.

Thanks AS I'll try and get some close ups later today. The seatpost clamp is pretty nice since it blends in with the frame; the new ones have them painted black which is a nice touch but I don't mind the finish on mine. The seatpost is a 31.6 which was a bummer because I was hoping to use a spare Ritchey WCS post I had lying around but I sold it so it wasn't a total loss. I got a nice ride in to Piermont this morning and could have kept going but there are family events to go to; I did run into kimconyc on the way back and rode back north with him to the state line...absolutely gorgeous morning to be out. I rode back with this small group who were moving pretty fast and that was fun especially when I made the break by the CNBC building and pulled them for a bit which was a good work out, especially since I had to get it past 30mph to get in front of the pack...those guys were on a mission.

56 miles with the OC Freds today. Felt like crap, back to the dentist early this week, hopefully he can slice it, file it down, and get it to stop hurting so much. Harriman was beautiful today however. No way I could have answered the 3:30 wake up bell to race in Manhattan today. Oh well. They don't need me, just my sponsorship. Let the real racer dudes win the Spring Series. And they will, thanks to g and the great team supporting him.

Was pretty sick this morning so I missed my Sunday group ride up to Nyack, but went solo anyway.
On the way there, roadiejorge rode up next to me on his sweet new bike...

Gorgeous weather up in Nyack...

Everyone was chilling up there so I rode back with them.
Stopped by Strictly Bicycles in NJ...

Saw the exact same orange Orbea as roadiejorge's in the parking lot of the bike shop but it was not his.
The end.
