The brakes are KCNC. The seatpost is one I got on eBay from China, $26 shipped, that I "tuned".

jesspal 08-06-12 11:28 AM

What did the seat post weigh? Also I see you have carbon rails on that post. Is that what needed tuning, the clamp on the seatpost?

Here's a link to a WW thread that covers it:http://weightweenies.starbike.com/fo...=93120#p798855

Impressive. I was pretty pleased with the 16.5lbs (with cages and pedals and computer) that I got my CAAD9 to. (Easton EC90SL Fork, SRAM Red/Force mix groupset. Wheels are my own handbuilts on WI hubs.)

But...wow. Sub 14 lbs.

lechat 08-06-12 08:13 PM

It's a second bike, bought the frame in '09, that I've tweaked gradually. Just about everything, save the rear tire came from eBay. There's still some grammage that can be shed, without resorting to extremes ($$$).

Hey everyone ..

What is the going price for a 2012 Caad10-105 ? I'm still seeing price tag of $1499 .. is that still reasonable or should I ask for a lower price?

Thanks everyone

Gharp23 08-06-12 11:19 PM

I want this bike, I need this bike. Going to try and go for the caad 10 ultegra once I can get my bike sold. I'll have to go test ride a few. Loving the pictures in this thread. I am being psychologically forced into this cult already. Help.

Just picked this baby up today and took it for a little spin. I have officially joined the cult.

SO DOPE! We have almost identical bikes. That RAW aluminum look is so nice. I was surprised to see it when I bought mine.

Getting my fiancé into riding. She's riding my single speed hating life bike to the left.

Greetings from the Philippines!

I have been mountain biking for over 4 years already and recently got interested in road bikes. An officemate of mine sold his bike to me for a very good price (about 500usd). It's a CAAD8 Sora, it's heavy at 22.5 pounds.

I am wanting to upgrade the groupset to a 105 and what wheelset would you guys recommend for about 400usd?

Also, I'll be using mtb pedals for it and have installed in the next few days as I don't want to spend (yet) for a dedicated road pedal and shoes. This is ok for the meantime right? I use a Shimano SPD shoe.

pics below. warning highres pics!

I recently purchased a CAAD10 ( you can see my thread on this forum ) and I purchased it not because of this thread but because I liked how it looked and felt when I test rode it. Also it was in the price range budget.

I've been searching online and on here and can not totally understand what is the big deal of Cannondale CAAD series. I mean it seems that the Cannondale EVO or the SuperSix bikes seem to be the better bikes. Not trying to be a troll or anything, just trying to understand why everyone is talking about the CAAD bikes.

well an evo is going to set you back around $7k, so not really comparing apples to apples. I like the Caad10 better than the super six. the SS is cheap carbon, and is a few hundred more the the Caad. For the price the CAAD is a great bike, especially for Crits

Why else besides its aggressive geometry?

It's stiff, and doesn't feel like an aluminum bike. It's responsive and corners well. The geometry like you said. Cannondale just designed it well. This is all just a personal opinion though. I've ridden the SS and other aluminum frames, and they didn't feel as responsive than the CAAD10 to me. I am a little biased since i own one.

They are cheap, plain and simple.

NWS Alpine 08-18-12 11:44 AM

Cheap to replace in a crash. Super quick handling from the geometry but rides so smooth. Puts all the power down that you can give it due to the stiffness in the right places.

freedomrider1 08-18-12 12:02 PM

I want one sooo bad

nicke 08-19-12 10:05 AM

That is one fine looking bike you have there my friend.

jesspal 08-22-12 06:57 AM

What is a reasonable amount to sell a 2009 slice Ultra Fork? I have one on eBay and don't wanna get totally jipped.

Picked this up on craigslist, first road bike and I'm excited. The only thing that sucks is that it is at the LBS for cleaning and tuning as well as new bar tape and new tires. I can't wait to get it back. The pic is the pic from the CL ad, more pics to come once I get the bike back. 2005 caad7 specs http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2005&Brand=Cannondale&Model=R700&Type=bike#.UDCRDUQ1-nc

Bike came with a cateye wireless but I removed ot as my coworkers got together and suprised me with a Garmin edge 200 for my birthday (Aug 21). Can't wait to get ot back. Any recommendations on clipless pedals for a beginner?

I've enjoyed this thread for quite a while now being a CAAD9 owner/lover. Unfortunately, Blue Balls (name of the CAAD9 since its blue) will be taking a backseat to my new ride, which has yet to be named/ridden/delivered.

My lovely new wife decided to surprise me with a 2013 SuperSix Evo with SRAM Red as a wedding gift. I think I made the right choice. JACKPOT.
