Not too worried about weight. I think I'm gonna pick up a pair of SRAM adjusters. Thanks for the info.

Anyone have issues with Yokozuna and inline adjusters?

We're similar in that respect. Microtex and batting gloves are great for me. I can't feel pinkies after about an hour if there's too much padding.

Any idea what the diff is between those mini adjusters, and the Jagwire Thinline adjusters (http://www.amazon.com/Jagwire-Jagwir.../dp/B005YORXJ8)?

I believe those are a 3rd type. The one's on the Caad10 used to be called Minis. New name now I believe. I'm sure they all work fine. Once everything is settled in, you'll hardly ever touch them. I picked up a set for my Caad7 a while back. Will probably just use 1 for the front. Don't want to mess with the pinch bolt out on the road.

Think the Sram adjusters are rebadged Jagwires.

Sorry about that, but I'm sure you get along OK until you can get another CAAD.

Nice bike

Anyone know what (or if) anything typically comes standard with a bare CAAD frame/fork? Derailleur hanger? Cable guide? Headset? Or is it usually just the frame, and only the frame?

I'm assuming that you mean new. Frame, fork, derailure hanger - no headset or bottom bracket.

Thanks. Yes, new. So no RD/FD cable guide?

I'm sorry, yes the guides are included (they're built -in).

This one MSRP's $350, and CAAD forks are going for about $160 on ebay, so I shouldn't have issues doing a clean swap.

qcpmsame 11-30-12 04:18 PM

Have you ridden the fork shown in your picture? It may be fine; I don't recognize what make it is so I cannot address its characteristics. My '12 CAAD 10 is totally stock and the fork does ride quite well. I had to get used to the modern bike geometry with the straight fork after so many years on the old style 531 steel forks with the bend in them. The modern fork and frame is more "twitchy" than the relaxed geometry of the vintage frames and forks. (I was off the bike for around 20 years because of leg paralysis and surgeries on my abdomen and back.)

The main thing I see in the fork shown is it does not have the rear offset drops on the fork, the Cannondale CF fork has these and they effect the handling, supposedly. I have no ride or geometry complaints at all. If you have the $ for the eBay fork maybe it is worth trying.
