I ordered mine last night. 2013 CAAD10-2 Force, the green version. Just have ot wait another week for it to come in.

Scientists need to get off their ass and develop teleportation already so they can teleport me my bike!!!

mrjim 02-26-13 09:16 AM

@repairtech: Your CAAD does look sharp. I particularly like the red brake hoods.

Nice schgr.cube, I'm a sucker for kittens.

hah, it was definitely inadvertent, but I figured I would post it anyway. I will post a picture of it put together for those who were interested, but I am working crazy hours this week so may not have any opportunities to get a shot with some natural light in it.

Probably, someone on here recommended and I thought it was a great deal. If it was you, it was a great recommendation.

I absolutely agree!!! That is sweet!

seymour1910 02-27-13 01:19 PM

TKM....Great build my friend....can you get us a better pic sometime soon? Bike looks great but a nice outside pic would be better, valve stems at 6 oclock, cranks parallel to the ground...look forward to it. How does it ride?

Baj....I know this is the CAAD thread but any new additions to the Synapse?

schgr.cube 02-27-13 03:21 PM

Thanks for the compliments, guys, I really appreciate it (especially since its practically bone stock!). I actually have some stuff up for sale/trade in the marketplace forums, so if that stuff sells ill have some money to throw into some quick upgrades.

And Seymour, I found the post in which you suggested those cages. You recommended it to someone else, but I checked them out and thought they looked good!

your bike doesn't need anything, a lot better looking that most stock bikes...that being said nothing wrong with wanting to ad things. My bike is much older than yours. I have a CAAD7 but I love it to death and won't get rid of it. It has 9 speed comps. I have thought about upgrading it with that same Rival group that's on yours.

As for the cages, they are great, never lost a bottle, and as you know by now they are super light. Some people need a big name on their stuff but the plain black just looks good.

i am fine with the stock group (for now, may want to upgrade later) but I want to swap out for a more comfortable handlebar, and would like a better looking stem and seatpost. I like my Thomson post, but think I may want a little more setback. Some of my goals are just aesthetic, I think I chose a better quality bike to make sure I didnt need to actually upgrade a lot. Some things though, such as saddle and pedals, are going to be a little more important for me to upgrade.

And yeah, I really like the look of the cages compared to a lot of others. Don't see a reason to get anything more expensive at this point.

Anyone selling those cages NOT on eBay?

Why the hesitation? Got mine in 3 days, no issues. eBay has great buyer protection.
