Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say we finally have at least one real wheel... assuming the pic is of a bike that actually belongs to said user.

Ohmannuel 02-23-13 04:40 PM

My bike is in need of something nice, I'm waiting on some new shoes (tires), garmin mount, and a new wheelset. Photos up soon!
P.s. I wasn't here for the fake posting drama but I guess that just goes to show how awesome the Cult of Caad is... we have people pretending to have caads hahaha

+5 to that! If you want a CAAD and just don't have one yet, seriously dude, there's no shame in telling the truth. Plus if you want to get one, I really hope it's cause you want a cool bike to RIDE. Not just a cool bike that you can post pictures of and get you compliments at how cool your bike is... since that's what it's really looking like at this point. Sorry everyone else, rant over.

Awesome frame! Stack too high and stem pointing up. I think it would look better with a different crank. MHO

I'll get to a point where I can lose some of the spacers and flip the stem. Right now, I'm not flexible enough to get into that position. As it is, I need to stretch a little bit to get on the hoods. My natural position wants to be about 2-3cm behind the correct hand position.

And I agree 100% with that crank comment. the chrome is kinda jarring.

First ever collegiate race coming up very soon. Steerer will be cut sometime before then as well.

Hello, I have a CAAD question, What is the difference between a CAAD 6 6 Tiagra, and a Synapse 6 Tiagra?
Thanks.

ClydesMoose 02-23-13 08:23 PM

One is a CAAD8, and the other is a Synapse. ;)

I think the Synapse has more relaxed geometry and only comes in a Triple.

seymour1910 02-23-13 08:29 PM

pinkbullet.....what is that other logo on your wheels? I have never seen them with anything other than BOYD on them.

road1bike......are you asking if you have a CAAD? What bike do you have? The CAAD is more a "race bike" frame and the synapse is a relaxed geometry, for some the Synapse is a more comfy ride, especially for long distance. I hope this helps.

This thread keeps making me want to build a CAAD10 for my 25th birthday in October.....plenty of time to save for a sweet ride.

The Boyd Vitesse has had the laser etched logos for a while.

True, but this is the first set I have seen with Vitesse on them, every other set I have seen just had BOYD on them.

Okay, nice bike. Different front and rear wheels though.

How do we know it's yours?

Hahaha!

Proof of "bike" :p

Upilu 02-24-13 05:21 AM

They are Ursus Miura for the rear, and Mavic cosmic carbon front
This the proof:

Why different wheels though?

Upilu 02-24-13 10:34 AM

Because It's how I have bought them from a private dealer on a forum

Maybe he could only afford one right now? At least he has finally given us something legit. I'd say take that for what it's worth and try not to be too picky.

PS Upilu, do I spy some sort of reef tank in the back there?

The cranks are not the spec cranks from their website, correct? Did you change them up? I'm hoping to order one of these this week. So freaking excited.

ClydesMoose 02-24-13 02:36 PM

Nice bike man :)

Also, whatever the shenanigans from before, you've been a good sport, so kudos for that :)
