He was a bit busy, way busy. I think his 2100 was a bad math on the fly. It's more like 2600 - 400 = 2200. MFSR is $2790. Another bike shop quoted me 2600 for the Force.
Then again.... It might not surprise me any if they mark it down and then subtract the $400 they are awesome people in the community. They also help another place by assisting a bike charity tour. One that I was suppose to be on and then killed my bike..... whoops. They provide the mechanics for the tour on tour day. |
Fixed everything on my bike today except for the out of true wheels. And its only off by like a mm or two.

Glad you are getting it all fixed !! Crashes suck! but that's how I am getting a CAAD10.... (mixed emotions) I am making some hefty sacrifices to pull this off.
But bicycle is priority #1 Muffin man I searched for a picture of your bike, but couldn't find it. |

I'm reflecting on the fact I am buying a new Caad10 (2013 bleh) I really should do Green Force to be different. I however like the Raw/black Force better I think because it's less LOUD. which is why I like 2011-2012 > 2013. :) That and the green clashes with my Hi viz yellow/green gear. I think.

I'm guessing 2014 colors will be better

Bored at home today, took another pic of my bike in it's current configuration:

It looks like my head tube is caving in from the shifter cables... Is this normal? Is anyone else having this problem?

Just looks to be marks on the clear pvc sticker they put on to stop cable rub on the frame. If you are really concerned, peel the sticker off and look at the frame underneath - it will most likley be fine.

Confused about sizing...
Hi, I'm new to the forum and looking to get back into road riding. I sold my Gardin about four years ago when I was moving and family life was busy (I know I broke rule #11).
Anyway, I'm putting together some money for a new road bike and can't stop looking at all of the CAAD10 pictures. I won't have the money together until next spring so my plan is to try to get a clearance 2013 CAAD10-3 when the price is right. My problem is that I'm a bit confused on the sizes that I should be looking for, and that will play a role in whether I can get a clearance '13 model as the shops don't seem to keep much stock of the 60/63 sizes. Ultimately I know I need to go into the shop and get on one and take it for a ride before I'm sure on size/feel, but I'm looking to see what sizes I need to see if the shops have. I've put my information into the fit calculator at another site (about 8 different measurements) and it spit out recommended top tube lengths, seat tube ranges etc. Based on what was output it says I should have a top tube length of 55.6-56.0cm which on the CAAD10 puts me in a 56, but the seat tube range (58.3-58.8cm) puts me in a 60. I'm 189cm tall (6'2"-6'3") with an inseam of 90cm (35.4"). Does this mean I should be looking for a 58 with maybe a shorter stem? My problem is that I had issues with my Gardin that was a 58, I had an exceptionally long seat post, and wasn't terribly comfortable getting into the drops (but my stem may have been incorrectly setup for me). I was trying to find the picture of it that I had from when I sold it, but I can't seem to find it right now. I'll be looking around at the local shops to see who has what in stock for me to try shortly, but wasn't sure which sizes I should be looking for. I know (from reading this thread) that the 2013 colours are not favoured, but I really like the way the black/white 10-3 looks (or the 10-5 team colours), and hope someone will have one around here. I think the actual photos of them look a lot better than how Cannondale has them setup with a black background on their site. Oh one last thing, has anyone tried swapping out the tektro brakes on the 10-5 with 105's? Any reason why there weren't 105 brakes available for it? I know many people have needed to swap pads. I only question about the 10-5 as if I can't find a clearance on the 10-3 and have to order a size for the 2014, my budget will only allow for a new 10-5, or a previous year 10-3. Thanks, it's going to be hard waiting to get into the cult... |

I'm 6ft and ride a 58, but with a slammed - 17° 110mm stem. I sized up for sure. My ideal is a 57cm TT, but my track bike is 565mm, and the caad is 575m.
Generally, you always size bikes based on their top tube length, not seat tube. The seat tube isn't a concern really because you can just move your seat post. |

Some changes. Moved the new Red group over to the CAAD10, installed Hollowgram SL crank, Yokozuna cables, switched to Speedplay pedals.

I'm 6'1" / 185cm (87cm inseam) and ride a CAAD10 58cm frame - which I reckon would be the minimum size for you - possibly leaning towards the 60cm - you'd have to try and ride both to see which feels best. The Tektro brakes were specced by Cannondale to save money - pure and simple. (The CAAD10 1 - Dura Ace - was similarly fitted with Ultegra calipers). I've changed mine to Ultegra and you can always find a decent, cheap pair of Ultegra calipers on Ebay and the like - around $100 - $130 should see you out easily. You'll love the bike - no matter which year you get, but do ensure you get the best-fitting size for YOU - even if it costs a little more, as you'll be disappointed otherwise. cheers |
I'm 6'-0" and ride a Caad 58cm. Fits like a glove.
EDIT: Recommend having a GURU Dynamic bike fit. Well worth the few dollars. |

My CAAD did not come with the protective stickers and the paint got all f'd up. Didn't realize before it was too late. I'm just curious as to what people have been using to protect their head tubes? Any suggestions?
