Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You could always play a proper video game...

Naturally, you'll need the proper console.

Doh! I guess it's not free anymore. Article dated 3-22-2011 said it was free if you d/l AppUp from Best Buy site, but nope : $4.99.

There is a free one called Exploding Sheep, however!

VG, here's a DZ pic for you from last weekend. His TT position is pretty freaking good, I mean he's one of the best TT racers from this country.

Also, I got another offer from another team today. So now I need to decide which team to go with.... So no more CTT kit pictures.

what works for one person does not work for another. There are so many things that are taken into consideration, just cause someone's position looks like anothers that is fast doesn't mean it will be.

Makes sense I suppose. People always give me crap about how much saddle to bar drop I have. They say it is too much, but my back doesn't mind, and I go faster this way. So I keep it.

Are you still a Cat 5? either way that's good, i know there aren't teams here in socal that recruit many Cat 5s.

it's no better in the 4's. Last weekend i raced a combo race (CAT 3/4) field...until last week i couldn't remember the last time I heard "hold your line" or "inside", you never here that in the 3's or the 35+ masters races... and there were 4 crashes in a 40m crit, and every bonehead move i saw was from a guy with a 4 at the front of his number.

So, don't think the suck is over, it's in all Cats, and I would say that the 4's are the worse as they think they are good and start racing close together, but still lack most the skills to race really close to each other.

Not lumping you into the bunch, I am just saying.

I'm doing my first 4's race this weekend at Barrio Logan. I've only done 2 cat 5 races and the rest of my starts were collegiate D/C. I feel like I'm prepared for any level of sketchyness. I plan to just stay close to the front.
