My confession is so shocking, so abhorrent, that I signed up for a new BF account so I could confess anonymously.
I'm 6'0". My weight at one point got up to 205 lbs. I took up cycling 8 years ago, and managed to get down to between 175-180 for the last two years. I was stuck, however, and couldn't/didn't lose any more. My favorite thing to do is climbing, and I despaired, because I weighed too much ever to be any good at it.
In April, I snuck off to a doctor I found in the Yellow Pages that does 'medical weight loss'. There a nurse practitioner gave me a cursory examination. She raised an eyebrow at my seeking treatment with a BMI of 24, however she nonetheless prescribed phentermine, 37.5 mg, one pill every AM. That's an appetite suppressant, the phen in fen-phen. I've been taking it ever since. I haven't told a soul, not even my wife.
So, that is my confession.

This is good.
Tell it all.
How old are you?
Did you ever smoke and for how long?
How long on the phen and any downside so far?

I can't stand bicycle computers. Got em' 2 times and both times I got rid of em' as soon as I could. I basically wanna go as fast as I want to and I don't want some computer telling just how fast that is. One less thing to worry about and I like to keep my head up as much as possible.

I say/sing the strangest things to myself in response to things on rides. For example whenever I see a hot women I will start singing "Lick It Up" by the un make-up'd KISS. No Idea how this started. Today in response to being chased by a very angry looking dog I told myself I was able to breakaway from "Filippo Pissed-ato."
It bugs the hell out of me when people post "would of" when they mean "would have."
I think Aham23 should be racing in the juniors or at least a women's 3.

I bought from wal-mart just to see if I would like the sport. I am a runner with bad knees gave it a try and i love it. Up to 80 miles on saturdays would be 100 if the equipment could handle it. So i got the best i could. But I am very embarrassed about the gmc My daughter says that gmc stands for gay man's car

Seriously? why?
My own confessions:
1. Yes, way too fat
2. Lycra shorts+hairy legs (will never shave - wife's orders)
3. I lurk on here far too much and almost never contribute
4. My bike is far better than I am
5. I have pedals you should clip into, but I often don't (I justify this by saying that I do a lot of riding in the city and it is a pain to be constantly clipping in and out - the truth is that I'm just not very good at it)
6. I suck at turning, yes turning.... to the point that I am embarrassed
7. There are many points of minutiae within cycling that I'm just too embarrassed to ask anyone about
