Dude. You eat too much. And I can say that, because I know I eat too much.

What kind of doctor sees office patients at night? The ones around here seemingly check out by 4 p.m.

I think I did point out specifically that is one of the biggest reasons I ride my bicycle so much. I have a slow metabolism anyway, to stay that thin without cycling I'd have to consistently eat 1200 calories a day. I can't do it.

I hear ya. I did the 1200/day for several months one year. Cleaned out my system. It was in response to a stent I had implanted due to arterial blockage (hence my title). It scared me into a diet change. I wasn't grossly overweight at the time (roughly 160) and my cholestrol was only 175 too. No heart diesease history in my family. Doctors said the blockage was a fluke. Couldn't medically explain it. So in response I went into a low fat almost vegetarian diet. I had to get used to being hungry all the time and fight being grumpy - LOL. I lost 20 lbs that summer down to 140 with hardly any physical activity (aside from rehab). My cholestrol dropped to 88. The lab had to run my tests twice since they thought their machine was broken. I did feel more energetic after a while from the weight loss and the diet change. That was over 8 years ago, but now just eat a sensible low fat diet. I also take meds for cholestrol and my readings now hover between 125 and 135. This year I rode much more than I normally do, but I also ate a lot more. I'm still trying to find that happy medium. I weigh 154 at the moment (gained a few since I've been off the bike for a few weeks) but ideally would like to be 145.

Likewise, I also ride to eat. And I ride because I hate running. Or more like running hates me.

Just filled up the Insight. Apparently the mpg calculator is pretty accurate. It was estimating 58.9mpg and according to the math at the pump I got 59.0mpg. I haven't been trying to get good mileage yet either. If I slow down and draft people I could easily add 10 or so on the freeway.

Good idea. Tailgate people on the highway @ 60 mph to save 5 mpg. Try to think your way out of a paper bag once a month for us, if that's even possible.

Tme to ride. Can't stay Gomer FatŪ forever.

In pursuit of women to bang solo needs to figure which ones give him the best gas mileage.

You mean the best bang for the buck??

Blizzard warning today, but clearing tomorrow and the following few days. Got in a ride yesterday on the newly-converted 1x9. What a blast; I forgot how easy friction shifting is. I can get from 1 to 9 faster than indexed can get in two double-shifts. Don't get me wrong, I still love my double, but this is a nice change. The Titans are solid even for my 195 lbs, but I long for the custom wheels I took off for my steel build.

Well the crazy one is by far the worst there. She is mostly the reason I bought the silly car. She lives over an hour away. Well it will also save me money using it for work.

Solo had his last stand this morning. Actually when I posted about my mileage I was headed to meet her. I met with her possibly for the absolute last time. I told her that the if this is indeed over, then it needs to be for good. I told her I cannot have her coming back into my life turning it upside down. I gave her until Friday to make up her mind. I poured my heart out to her, and left nothing unsaid. I made it clear there is no going back.

LC, TS, and the others were right. I tried it, and it has to end now. There is no going back. No trying again. It's got to be done. I've got to have closure.

It's just not fair to me, and to any future women I ever come in contact with who may want to have a relationship with me. It's got to be either over, or not.
