I gave her until Friday to decide. I didn't want to force her into an answer right at that moment. There have been recent issues that have risen that I have not shared, that have caused all of this to fall apart. I want her to think about her answer, and make sure it is what she really wants.

What frame is that RTDub? I thought it was the Nashbar road one up front, but then saw the canti posts. Nice looking. My flat bar commuter is 1x9, but with SRAM X9, and I find the simplicity a hoot.

It was the Nashbar FB1 and was purchased with the intention of making it a cross bike. It is a nice little frame - love the teardrop downtube and have always been a fan of the V-brake for commutes and trail riding. After getting rid of the MTB I fell in love with the cross bike. After the New Year I'll be dismantling it and taking it to a pro for stripping and a clear coat. Cross bikes scream 'get that paint off of me.'

How is it not apparent to you that you've had to repeatedly force a square peg through a round hole? Sure, you can force it though, but you still have a square peg and round hole - it's going to come up again and again. You are exactly right. I used to be in "love" with a couple of girls earlier in my life. While I was being strung around by them I missed out on a lot of my life. I have a few regrets but it all worked out. I have a great wife that I love and treats me like a king.
