Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

Ok, I'm sick for a few days, too ill to sit at my computer and offer up any stupidity, and here you guys go talking bike talk. What's up with that? Serious bike talk at that. AND fraternising with the mods. What next? Organised rides? Trading tech tips or training tips? Geez, I'm starting to miss cricket! And to top it off, I can't find my TDF video. I'm pretty sure it's the one mentioned a day or two ago, with Lemond winning by 6 secs.

Bikes: Trek 5200 and 8000

I've ridden every paved road on that hill so many times.....in both directions.
See, that's why I would never have become a serious rider...too much pain!!

Were's "the Hitcher"? Thought he'd pop in tonight.

Hey Hitchy, one of the top Pro Motion dudes was riding a Giant last year
(a contra deal, no doubt), and guess what? He's now riding a LOOK.

The Fitzroy Cycles ride was a bit slack tonight; we were only sitting on 50kmh on the
way back with the wind.

Nearly got blown off me bike when the wind bounced off the Mentone Pub

I only got a quick look at the LOOK. It was predominantly white with (i think) less
blue bits than yours.

was it a 486?....the 481's have a similar color scheme, but the Blue & white 486's have never been imported into Oz (except mine!)....the 'kelme' team colour in the 05's is gunna be imported I think, but there won't be any here yet I wouldn't think

You've got Hitchy and Wattsy around the wrong way.

Left to right, it's: me, Wattsy, Hitchy, and SJP (he doesn't post all that much).
Oh yeah, and Thyalcine is taking the photo.

Wattsy didn't get 'round to rounding up the day, so you didn't miss it.

Nah, that wouldn't be her. She's almost as into it as I am, and we spend all day together anyway.

Yeah, I worked out this morning before I started corrupting my brain with thoughts, that it was SJP. I even asked about his bike previously so I should of remembered. I'm a dunce.

What's with all these lumpy buggers riding bikes anyway? I take it if ed was riding he'd be much lumpier still? No wonder you dudes ride beach road all year round and stay away from hills like the plague.
