Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I didn't know you had any Koffee. I assumed... oh, never mind! That's just short for gonads. Nad's is a hair removal product for men, made in Australia. Now I've opened a can of worms! That should give everyone out there something to work with.

You ever read 'Viz'?

They had a cartoon called 'Buster Gonads and his unfeasonably large testicles'.

Viz isn't as funny as it used to be.

No, not at all.

Ain't it funny how the Yanks seems to tollerate Aussies more than Brits, even though we're basically
the same: no relgion, no patriotism, similar sense of humour (although Seinfeld and The Simpsons changed everything), bangers and mash, fish & chips, etc

Well, the Brits sent you all to Australia for a reason! Hence the animosity, right? But in the States, we're in a similar boat as you all... being unwanted in England and finding a new place to live.

We're kindred spirits... kindred spirits, I say!

Yes, but the Poms still think they are the centre of the colonial empire. And when they emigrate to Australia, they think the serf-and-convict culture still exists here, and they are the lords of the manor. Seen it happen. Been on the receiving end of it. They come out here to teach those colonials a thing or two. I cannot for the life of me believe how any Pom who moves to Australia to sun, sand and beach babes could possibly want to go back to dreary, rainy weather with cobbelstone beaches and... well you get the picture.

Don't even get me started on beetroot. Great burgers here, but really, beetroot?! Of course, in New Zealand, you go into Maccas and they put an egg on your burger.

Beetroot on burgers is like driving with a spike sticking out of the steering wheel on a car. Dropping it out the bottom of the bun is fatal, especially if you are wearing white. Egg? Ha, washes out without staining. Beetroot? Permanent reminder of sloppy eating habits.

Otherwise, beetroot? Yummmmm.

Oh yeah, and who called McGrath a w@anker or somesuch recently. Eight wickets for 24 runs is a pretty good haul in anyone's language. Even if it was the Pakis. Probably would have been 10-20 against the Poms, though.

More the merrier!!

I like half a beetroot, 3 eggs, 4 onions, a pound of mayo, 1/2 a litre of BBQ sauce and a litre of tomato sauce.
Get it all in there

Nope, not yet. I just missed out on my pedals on ebay, while I was screwing around on here. Damn! But I did score a new in package stoker stem (aluminum) for US$.99! It won't become aluminium until my postie delivers it. I think the stoker stem was the last remaining cro-mo piece on the tandem.

Do they have black pudding in Oz? If you want heart-attack-on-a-plate have a full english breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, black pudding and fried bread.

Or just go to IHOP and get the stuffed French toast with everything on the side. I miss IHOP. And Baja Fresh. In N Out Burger... Yeah, I'm going back for a visit soon.

In N Out is one of those rare burger chains where the burger may have actually had a close aquaintance with a cow and the fries are made out of real potato. IHOP is very hit and miss. The missus is a veggie so eating out over here can be a nightmare so Thai and Indian are normally a safe bet.

Unbeleeeeeevable. Ed would've walloped him with one of his big hams
I heard the same thing yesterday from a guy at bentleigh Cycles...he said heaps of riders came down....he heard it was a guy in a 4WD!!

He also told me that the Police are thinking of making the hell ride a pain in the arse for riders to stop them from doing it. They will try change the route so its more damaging to the bikes....Apparently the cops are sick of the lack of respect for road laws by the hell riders. Time will tell i guess!!
