Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

there's a little icon in the bottom left that looks like a pair of scales.....click on it, and you can add or subract rep for other posters. Some blokes on bb.com have over 2000 rep points.
The thing is, the more posts your make, and the more positive rep you have...the more rep you can give other people. So one person might be only able to give 1 point, another can give 12 or 20 or 30...

It's makes it a little power game.....some people care about that. At least your rep isn't shown on the forum page itself. The fact that you have to go to a separate website makes the whole rep thing insignificant.

Hahahaha....Still makes me laugh when somebody once threatened that I wouldn't be taken seriously like Merton.....Hahahahaha....Like Merton and I Really give a damn! Merton and I lose sleep over our reputation points every night.

Yes it will. As you get more rep, more of those little green dots will light up with a diffrerent tag line.

My biggest problem is that if you care about your reputation points too much you'll will be a little wuss with your posts! All I have to do to get a super high reputation is just to post politically correct junk all the time, never disagree, and allways be conservative middle of the road. Damn, then I'd be a politician!

Bikes: how long have you got?

...whats Cookie & Luke Roberts problem?....they're abit uptight about the tactics in yesterdays stage of the Tour.....from the description of events I wouldda thought they coulda expected nothing different. 2 riders in the break with GC guys back in the pack, aren't gunna help the break...whats strange about that?...or am I missing something?

Bikes: Thylacines...only Thylacines.

*cough* 'Rep Points'? That is the dumbest thing I've heard today. And believe me, I hear some pretty dumb things during the day.

Imagine it - you'd get all the idiots who think it's cool to collect points, and they'd be the people you wish would STFU...you know the ones.....the really saccarine, condescending, self important, middel-of the road, politically correct ******s. What a circle jerk of an idea.

I think I'd have to create my own 'Anti-rep' system, where all the shît-stirrers and sarcastic/funny buggers get bonus points. 53-11 would be up there, wouldn't ya mate!

I'm with Tigerboy...who wants points given out by peckerheads!....however, I've heard that if you cllect enough points they send you a set of steak knives!

So, I really shouldn't mention that because of daylight savings, and an early start today, I can get on my bike in an hour and go home when it's only 3:30 over there

Sure are, have been since the 3rd. We're lucky enough to get 6 months of daylight savings. Gotta have something to make up for the bloody cold winter!

Yep...exactly that thing happens on bb.com...16 yo dickheads stuff around in the Miscellaneous and Sex forums and rep each other up to the bejeezus for posting nudie pics...then post in one of the relevant forums with 100 previous posts, but +1000 rep points.

No need to create an anti-rep system mate...you can give negative rep to posts.
