Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Remove that dork disk asap And if you're seriously looking for an upgrade for your wheelset, just do a quick search here on the forum. you'll find plenty of threats with great suggestions and advice. Grood looking bike btw. One more thing. If i were you, i'd upgrade my transmision prior to the wheels. But that's just me

Yeah, I've been contemplating this myself lol. I'll stare at it after a wash and I'm like "Why?". I may try to break it off today.

If you can't get it off the right way, it should probably stay on...

Nice! But I think you'll find those cages will bounce out a full bottle way too easy!

Just hold your speed under 40 mph and they should stay in.

Here's my '88 Fuji converted to Sram:

Red shifters, Rival derailleurs, rest of the drivetrain Shimano Ultegra/105. Archetype rims laced to Dura-Ace in the rear and a no-name hub in the front. Fun bike .

Interesting build! I like the overall color coordination. How do you intend to use the bike? Too nice to use as a beater.

Thanks! I bought this bike as a first road bike from the local bike shop over the summer and started upgrading parts with the intent to transfer those parts to another frame (carbon) eventually. I intended to race it this next season, but I have ordered a 2014 Felt AR5 to race. I plan on putting these Sram parts on my new Felt and putting the old Suntour groupset back on the Fuji.

AR5 is cool! You've got the aero advantage without compromising too much on weight. I have a "vintage" Cervelo Soloist (aluminum version). The frameset itself is probably a pound heavier than your AR5.

New guy here from the fg/ss part of the forums

I sold my Cinelli mash frame to build another track frame up but then came across this 2013 Jamis Icon Pro. It was the last one a shop had and I picked it up for almost 40% off retail. Brand new not 1 mile on it. Im really happy with it so far. My first road bike.

So far I have only swapped out the Bars saddle and seat post collar. I still need to pick up a set of bottle cages the one on the bike is a random one I had laying around.
