(Chanting) DO IT - DO IT - DO IT! A high end Mixte for under $100 seems pretty rare. I am guessing this one is a grand Jubilee, 73ish?

Just wanted to add: I have no affiliation with this bike. I’ve been successfully talking myself out of contacting the seller.

Obviously not complete, but could still be a decent deal. I've always liked the chrome on these frames.

Do you have a child that needs some vintage MTB cred? I didn't know Ross made these in tiny size. Posting less for dollar value than for novelty.

I sure wish this was close to me. It would fit in with our Tempo, LeTour and Prelude.

These earlier mid-80's Rockhoppers were well-equipped. This one looks like it's been upgraded to an indexed XT RD.

$100? That's a heck of a deal for a higher end Miyata with Shimano 600, if it's in good shape. Looks like a 60cm so my size too. These are never close to home.

Here's the 1987 Miyata catalog about it: https://www.ragandbone.ca/PDFs/Miyat...logue%2087.pdf

Cannondale SR500 Crest - RARE - 60cm - $495 OBO - $495 (Medford)

I’m selling my special Crest toothpaste edition Cannondale SR500. It’s a really rare frame, it’s rumored they only made around 300. Originally came with 105 downtube shifters, but has been upgraded to Shimano 600 Tri-color. The only missing component for the groupset is the front derailleur, which was replaced with a Sora before my time.

The stem is also the rare shimano 600 hidden bolt quill stem- these alone sell for around $75 on EBay. I considered parting it out but I’d rather see it be ridden. I’m only selling because it’s a little too big for me.

Size is stamped 60, measures 58 C-C. Bars are Nitto B115, which are in pretty good shape. There’s some chipping of the paint and a little rust on the fork, but it’s in good riding condition for an ‘88. Tires are in good shape, could use new brake pads. Rim braking surfaces are fine and the hubs also match the groupset. Bottom bracket was recently serviced and it’s in good shape.

I also have a NOS replacement pair of the brake lever hoods, which I’ll include for $35, I’ve seen them for 40 online.

Pedals/toeclips aren’t included, but I can throw on a pair of plastic pedals so you can ride it home.

Pick yourself up a cool, rare, and super fun ride!

Trek 520 touring bike - $300 (S. Attleboro)

Trek 520 touring bike, made for loaded bikepacking trips. 23"/58cm lugged cro-moly frame made of Reynolds 531 tubing. 18 speeds using Shimano downtube index shifters, shifts great. All Shimano Deore drivetrain (crankset, derailers, cantilever brakes). Avocet saddle, Cannondale handlebar bag, and Topeak rear rack. Has bosses on front fork for using a low rider rack. Newer tires 2 years ago in good shape. This is the 1988 model. I've owned this for 28 years, taking me on many long distance bike camping trips and century rides. Old age and bad health makes me sell this old friend. I can meet at South Attleboro MBTA station if need be. $300.

Nicely updated Bianchi MTB, but I want to see what he did with the rear brake? I see bare u-brake posts on the bottom of the chainstays....

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...883632932.html

vintage BIANCHI - commuter randonneur 14 speed w/rack+fenders - $380 (Medford)

Rehabbing vintage steel is a hobby for me, and this was a fun project. A neighbor passed this late 80's Bianchi Super Grizzly my way, unridden for years. I stripped off all the rusty mountain bike parts, cleaned and rebuilt the whole thing to be a commuter/city bike.

You are getting more than an old bike with a "tune up." New headset, Nitto stem and handlebars. Rebuilt bottom bracket and humming drivetrain with the original Shimano Deore XT long cage rear derailleur and friction/SIS 7sp shifters. New brake and shift cables. Cleaned and shined original Shimano cantilever brakes in front with road levers. Gone is the clunky mtb crankset, replaced with a sharp compact Stronglight, 45/30 for easy-going travel.

Fenders and a new Blackburn rack make this a great candidate to carry your bags or added panniers on the way to work. It's just getting nice out — ditch the T!

I'm a road rider, so I'm not up on MTB sizing, but I believe this is set up for a rider about 5'9" — 6'0" or so. It has a 32" standover, 58cm top tube. I'm 6'3" and it's a little small for me, though comfy. Happy to answer any questions as best I can, or set up a time for you to take a look.

So very tempting glad it is allegedly too small. I think it might be a 57, and 1399 is right around MSRP

Not the best pics in the world but seems like a reasonable price. Not sure what Barnyard in Downtown Los Angeles he / she found it. I could probably take a look at it after this weekend.
