I think you're seeing stuff that isn't there.
It is a simple mirror image flipping, but why the seller did it is beyond me.
The head tube image is rotated 90°, so perhaps the seller was having troubles with the image software.

It looks like a nice old frame, and may well be worth $100 if cleaned up.

Yikes. Another pet peeve of mine is when a seller includes multiple pics, but they're the same photo from the very slightest different angle. Picture 2 is just a blurrier, crappier version of picture 1 and should have been discarded.

I understand not wanting to get false claims about the bike. However, this hardly gives an owner enough information to determine whether they should contact the "good Samaritan".

I suppose if one has had a bike stolen in the last week, "joy ridden", then dumped, then one could contact them. What if the bike was stolen months ago, then just dumped later for some reason? Perhaps being passed from thief to thief.

What a piece of junk and only $600. I wonder what kind of "Specialist" assembled this heap. Maybe his idea of a specialist is anyone with a homemade workstand and the intelligence of goat. Also he is taking it our on the town even though it posted for sale.

including a campy bottom bracket, Sugino AT crank,
bull horn handle bars, Sun rims, extra strong spokes, Kona fork.

I wouldn't be so hard on the builder. There are a few people who like the Fixie/Single Speed, and are converting the older bikes. Although things like Aero levers would have complemented the bull horns. He does seem to have 2 sprockets rather than the full complement of sprockets that some use on their "conversions".

I have to wonder why he didn't bother to include an overall photo of the bike.

Can one actually mount Sugino cranks on a Campy bottom bracket? Or is that Campy cups, a generic spindle, and mystery bearings? (Oh, apparently some Sugino Track Specific cranks will work. I suppose it could be the Sugino 75... learn something every day).

Does it come with a seat, or is it one of those bikes designed to stand and ride?

80's frames can be beat up. That one isn't bad, but it has seen some wear. The shift bosses are still there which is a good sign for those wanting to put it back to multi-speed.

Anyway, I'm not up on Bianchi frame models. Probably not a high-end frame. I don't think I'd pay $600 for the bike, but perhaps it would be worth a couple hundred to the right person.

Help me to understand. Did a frame builder have a bunch of extra tubing from various manufacturers lying around? Is this the most OCD-specified custom bike ever? Is it really a supernice bike and I'm distracted by specificity? All of the above?
I want to see it with different tubing stickers plastered all over the appropriate bits.

It is an odd ad.
Especially when the photos don't show the actual logos, and there is no note about who the actual builder/painter is.

He doesn't seem to mix Columbus and Reynolds (or Nova) branded tubes, other than the fork.

I'm wondering if it is in fact a homebuilt, maybe 10 to 15 years old, and for some reason, he kept every single receipt.

If you like it, why not contact the seller and try to get a bit more info about the "custom build". $600 seems to be on the high end, but not too bad.

Actually the ad does mention "Ariel" as the builder or brand. That's in one of the little fill-in-the-blank boxes that I delete before posting my CL hilarity... shoulda added that in the text.
I took the description of the stays -- Rey. -- as Reynolds. And what's the "steering column," apparently crafted from Tange Champion #1 ?

...Not in the market for this 'un, btw. Just was baffled by the ad, thought it deserved a spot here.

Steering column = Steer Tube (top part of the fork).

Often it would be nice to actually see the details (which companies like Nova provide with their tube sets).

In fact, it does give this a distinction from the typical "chromo" frame.

It is interesting that it is all in standard, not metric too.
