Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

my heart is breaking for you. It hits close to home since Roscoe has been declining the past couple of years. He's stabilized now but he's almost 14 so the sad day is getting closer. I really don't know what to say. I guess cherish the memories.

If he cycled to North Springs he could reach the aeroport car-free. #MOTD

We had some early morning showers so most of my friends bailed on the Sunday morning ride, even though the rain was finished the roads were wet and gritty. Two others joined me, we had a fine ride which only had one interruption due to a flat on my rear tire. I never found the culprit but I am pretty sure I picked up a shard that caused the puncture. We put a new tube in and finished the ride with no complications.

I dunno if I could survive that bicycle ride. Roads there are insane!

I even felt lucky to survive the freeway drives from/to Hartsfield-Jackson.

Although I haven't been to ATL in a while, I did have ATL wings for football viewing fuel yesterday

I'm trying to deconstruct that. It's a lot of chocolate, so I'm definitely a fan.

When I baked for a living, I overdosed on cheesecake.... A gingerbread cookie crust instead of graham cracker, was all it took. People were actually a wee bit cranky it was seasonal.

My-O-My. The verdict is already in. Even if it hadn't set up, and had to eat it with a spoon, it would be 15 out of 10. Would eat until I couldn't.

Just go to Great Harvest. Bread is a lot of work for marginal gains.

My bread is delicious, btw. A touch more sweet, but I'm not a bread guy with my meal type person. I like to add **** into it. Italian meats and cheeses baked in, etc. So, a traditional loaf isn't something I do.

You were supposed to have perfected your bread during COVID lockdown, you've missed the window.

yeast and let it rise on/near a wood burning stove or similar warm area. It's been accomplished centuries ago I'm sure you can do it.
